SAFAVIEH Braided Collection 2'3" x 6' Multi BRD308A Handmade Country Cottage Reversible Runner Rug

I own several Safavieh rugs, but amazon really blew it on this listing. The colors look nothing like the accompanying photos. It is dark blue multiple colors - not even in the sequence pictured. I selected it for its earthy green/beige tones. Instead I received what is primarily a dark blue rug. Others have noted this discrepancy as well (not to mention the fact that it is a cheap polypropelene rather than cotton rug).I've attached the color image of this rug taken directly from the Safaviah.com, which is much more accurate.Overall, this purchase a big disappointment.

OMG! _ This RUG IS NOT BLUE! _ It has black, grey, tan, green, and rust.The only way there is blue in this is if you tell yourself that grey is blue...It's black around the edge with grey and tan woven in. Then dark green takes over, woven with tan, rust, pine green and black. Toward the center the tan takes over, woven with olive green and rust. Finally, the very center is tan and rust. At any point in that description did I mention blue? NO!I only just took it out of the package, it's draped over my kitchen chairs. I haven't looked into return options yet, that thought fills me with dread. I'm going to stare it at for awhile, and give consideration to "going black and pine" in my kitchen instead of the "denim and sage" I was aiming for. I'm ordering new placemats and chair pads next... what color remains to be seen. I'm submitting a picture in which I draped the rug over a chair and stuck a denim covered pillow on it for comparison. The pillow is blue. The rug is NOT!Ugh. I'm not happy. I'll update my review as the saga unfolds.Safavieh needs to change the color description to black-green-rust-tan multi, because unless the grey is being mistakenly labeled blue in the yarn department, there is no blue in it.

Prior to ordering this I read all the reviews and knew that the product was not going to be blue. I was not looking for a blue rug. This looks primarily green online and that was exactly what I was looking for. Having other rugs in the Safavieh Braided Collection I knew what to expect in terms of quality and durability. This rug did not disappoint. It is primarily what I would consider green and shades of brown/tan with an almost black edge. It is thick and feels nice underfoot. I have a 12' version of this rug in a different color in a hallway that sees tons of traffic each day. That rug has been in place for well over a year and shows no signs of wear or staining. It vacuums nicely and has held shape. I expect the same from this rug. I would suggest a rug grip if using this rug on a smooth floor as it will slide. I have ordered a second rug 3x5 in the same color scheme to complete the look I wanted in my kitchen. These rugs have enough variety of shades of green/brown/tan/cream in them to go well with many colors in that family.

I bought 100% COTTON rug I thought is mainly green; what I've got is poly plastic made in China, with prevailing dark, not as shown, colors. When I ordered it two days ago, the website said there are only few items left and the special price was $97.99. My confirmation email also describes it as 100% cotton and the picture is of the mainly green/brown/yellow oval rug. But the real thing that arrived today has mainly dark colors and there are TWO different LABELS describing the content of the package -- the one on the actual rug says it is polypropylene, and the one on the plastic packaging foil says it is 100% cotton.Doh?Today, I see the same rug for over $130.00 and the content is described as "100% cotton" and the next line says: "These rugs are made from a high-quality polypropylene pile, providing comfort and softness to the touch."Not fair.

This is a beautiful rug. Arrives rolled, of course, but took hardly any time to flatten. The colors are vibrant, it is soft, though a tiny bit thinner than my old (wool) rug. This is not a problem. Being multi-colored it picks up the colors in my dining room and looks wonderful. I purchased the extended warranty, but hope I'll never need it. The rug seems well made and sewn together and I have seen the same rug selling for $40 more on other sites.I'm quite pleased.

We got this primarily to cover a carpet stain as a cheap alternative to replacing all the carpet. :-) As you can see from the photo it looks perfect by the fire in the den. Informal with warm, harmonious colors. Love the braided look.

I am pleased with the quality construction and appearance. Despite being synthetic material, it is very soft under bare feet. There are four seams on the diagonal from the center that are a bit raised, but nothing too noticeable. I am very pleased with colors, as well.

Really rich, nice colors on this rug. This is just what I wanted with it being darker than the pictures depict on the computer. I don't know why they call it "blue" and multi color. The outer ring is black with green and tan or cream color inter twined. Most all of the other rings have a touch of green which is what I wanted anyway. There is a slight amount of grey which is where I guess they get the "blue" color from but it seems to be grey(ish) and there isn't a lot of it. It is a very nice accent rug but it is a little thin, thus the reasonable price. I have it under my eat-in kitchen table. It looks great on top of my wooden floor with a wooden table over it. I would order this again because it is nice looking and may get one of the other accent sizes to go by the doorway.

Bought two of these area rugs. I love the pattern and look of this item...but I have been disappointed in the "wear" of the material. I have had several places in the rug that a piece of the braiding has unraveled over time. I have to take a knife and push it through to the other side. This material does not stand up to wear anywhere close to the real "jute" rugs. Would not purchase a rug made from this material again, as it has been a disappointment.

Says its cotton but it is actually a nylon that snags very easily. So it looks good if you don't walk on it.

Not much to say as what I received was exactly what I ordered, and not only does it look lovely in my "old" style kitchen, but it seems sturdy and well made.
