How long is the file?

The file is 6" end to end. Filing area is 4". The shaper/polisher is 4" end to end, and it works well as a polisher. This is a wonderful set.

Do you file both ways with these files ?

Yes, etched grit surfaces allow use our files for fast filing and finishing nails in any directions - 2X faster. Moreover, it seals the keratin layers together at the edge of the nail, leaving your nails incredibly smooth. This means that your manicure will last longer.

Are all these tools tempered glass?

Yes, it´s tempered and chemically strengthened glass. Even though these glass files have been hardened, dropping the file from a height, bumping it against a hard surface, or placing it under heavy weight may lead to chipping and breakages, so please be careful when handling your glass file.

Is the shiner heatproof? I want to paint it and the paint has to be heat set at 350°.

The nail shiner will stand at the temperature of 180 °C = 350 °F
