Excellent Value For Money
I collect pens of every style and many price ranges. This Duke I only bought, because I was asked to get a fountain pen for a theater production that would fit in the Art Deco time, 1910 -1920's. To my surprise this fountain pen has turned out to be a very well made and nicely finished pen that could compare to many of my fountain pens, even to some 5-7x it's price! Has a clean overall appearance, looks expensive the trim has been "guilded" in a very symphatetic and surprisingly NOT cheap looking gold-"whatever it is". If I lay this pen beside my 150 Euro Waterman with 24k guilding in daylight, the color and shine is surprisingly similar. The decor on the cap is clean and can easily pass off as being from the desired time. The nib is a bent, calligraphy nib that is still able to be used as writing nib for every day - if you like that style. The nib seems to be real gold coated. The body of the pen is lacquered with a very beautiful black lacquer, very similar to that being applied in the "old-days" looks very nice! Overall it feels, writes and looks much more expensive than it should in it's price range! It for sure is on par with all the Chinese or Chinese made European Brands and I also found that you have to look at the over the 80-90Euro price range to really find anything really being better than this Duke can offer. Can not say anything yet about longevity, but looking at the nib and the internal elements that are pretty much the same as other more expensive pens have ( and are being used by us since 2,3 or more years daily) - there is no reason for this fountain pen to have a decent lifespan. Filling was clean and easy, no dripping, no flooding. Highly recommended!

New to me
This nib takes some getting used to, but is very smooth and I enjoy using it for sketching. The pen looks good, but the barrel does work loose and needs tightening every now and again. The thread feels a little tinny. However it is easy to fill and clean to use. No regrets in buying it.

Feels Super Cheap
It feels really cheap and its preformance is really not worth the money , i would avoid it if you have other choices , it hardly does what its meant to and you could find a way better pen with a little searching

A good pen for artist or writers
this is a very good fountain pen. This fountain pen allows me to easily control the thickness of the lines I draw, allowing me to vary my lines from thin, medium and broad thickness. This pen is definitely a pen I'll recommend for drawing anime/manga or just drawing in general, especially since it easily alllows variation in line thickness. It is also pretty nice to write with this pen. In addition, this pen has a really cool gold-pattern engraved on its surface, making it nice to look at. The pen's nib is also plated with 18k gold, meaning it is a really good deal for such a cheap pen because gold-plated nibs are usually not expected from pens of such a low price tag, such as this pen's ~30 Canadian dollar price tag. The only minor downside is that this pen's ink converter has a rather small volume for the amount of ink it can hold, meaning that you'll have to refill the ink pretty often. I would definitely recommend this pen to artists or anyone who wants a good writing instrument.

Robust build. Great value!
This review is for the fude nib. What a satisfying nub to use! Ink lays down smooth and bold! I’m so surprised by its performance! Pen has a Robust build, great weight and decent balance when cap is posted. I have small hands so prefer to write/draw without it. There is a learning curve with this nib style, but am excited to write, doodle and draw with it. I am able to get XXF lines for detail drawing and cross hatching by reverse writing on the nib. So far I’ve not experienced any hard starts, or starvation skips! I might even say it performs as good as some of my more expensive and highly coveted pens. Recommend for the great value and performance!
