I just don't get it
Ok, this is an odd one for me. It's got a lot of features, some nice design thought went into it, but I just don't get it. I'm going with 3 stars, which I'll explain...Some of the detail things:> a heavy metal mounting plate & 2 solid metal brackets that, once installed on the mounting plate, will hold the Carryon very securely by its own handle.> Ability to lock the unit's door, including 2 keys, but a thief would just take the whole unit and break the door off later. The only deterrent to that is mounting it on a wall and using one of the holdes in the mount brackets to put a real padlock on. That's a fair bit of effort, space, and ongoing "maintenance" to me, and you can't do that while traveling.> Comes with a set of 5 velcro cable organizers to keep things neat.> Comes with a real metal keychain with the Lock logo on it (just to make sure a thief knows which keys to snag).> It's designed very well, with a metal plate to route cables through so they don't get tugged on, and separators for the individual tablets so no rubbing or bumping.Once put together, it does keep things organized and safe, but again, I just don't see why. If one has 5 tablets that one wants to tote around with them all at once for some reason, then this would be a nice product for that. The problem with that is this doesn't have its own battery, so I don't see how it being portable is useful at all. You still have to find a wall socket to plug into, and the tablets can't be used while they're charging.I won't go into the various scenarios of travel situations, but in none I can think of do I see needing or wanting to stuff my tablet in a box that isn't going to charge it. It would be almost a novelty item to me, and I wouldn't want pay very much for it.Maybe for a business situation, where someone is handing out tablets to meeting participants? I don't know. That's my take. Maybe someone would kindly let me know if I'm just missing something.

Very handy in some cases....
I can see where this would be handy maybe for a business that supplies computers at meetings or maybe schools that do that, but I can't think of anyone else really that would find it useful. I mean I guess it would be okay at home if everyone wanted to charge their stuff all at once but that would be a little unusual. It's a nice idea though and it does keep things nice and tidy. I am still trying to find a place to hang this because it's big and would stick out too far in most of the places I want to put it. Plus it definitely needs a stud behind it to hold all the weight from it and the computers it's charging. If you are going on a plane this might be handy to use unless someone steals it and then you've lost all your stuff at once. I really don't see that key deterring a thief and I had to put it on my ring just to make sure I didn't lose it and have to break my own unit to get it open one day. It is great if you have a lot of laptops and iPods to charge at night though. I wish they made something similar to do for other things like smart watches, phones, the whole shebang in one unit as my computer isn't big enough to charge all that I need to charge on a daily basis. When I say this is big, I don't mean it's enormous but about the length of a laptop and the width of less than 8 inches, so it's not that big or that heavy until you load it up. It does have a nice carry handle on it. It just seems a little pricey for what it is, but if you like being organized, then you will love it.

Heavy duty businesslike protection for multiple tablets
This thing is big. It has to be, to hold five full sized tablets. It's also pretty heavy, but the handle is useful. It locks, and a nice dedicated keychain is provided for the keys.Putting it together is a project, requiring unscrewing and disassembling the piece that covers the cables, installing the cables, and then reassembling, but it's worth it. I have it on a shelf right now, but hardware for wall mounting is included and I may tackle that later. I like that it acts as a multi port adapter and keeps charging cables from turning into a tangled mess. Short cables are your friends here. The actual cradles that keep the tablets upright is plastic, so it won't damage them. It actually does hold the tablets with covers on, even the keyboard cover I have on my iPad Air 2.I'm pretty happy with this gizmo. It keeps my devices accessible, cables neat and organized, and easy to transport if necessary.

Good enough product that meets the requirements.
This is good enough for most needs. It houses both smartphones and tablets and charges them fine. I have charged my iPhone 6S Plus and 10 inch iPad without any issues. But it isn't perfect. Here are the areas of improvements.1)Leaving the locks open prevents the lid from closing completely.2)Although not requiring assembly, the initial configuration requires using a screwdriver.3)The charger is not the most powerful (5 Watts I believe).
