ChiaoGoo Twist Tip Interchangeable Complete Set, 4-Inch

I had been watching this needle set for some months and bought when the price dropped, and I'm very pleased with it. There seemed to have been some confusion about what comes in the complete set, so this is what I received: 13 needle tips sized 2.75, 3.25, 3.5, 3.75, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 6.5, 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0 mm; 4 cables for the small sizes and 4 cables for the large sizes - 2 x 8", 14" and 22", so 8 cables in all; 24 stitch markers in 4 sizes which are very smooth; 2 tightening pins; 2 large end caps and 2 small end caps; 1 large cable connector and 1 small cable connector to join cables to make longer ones; a ruler and needle guide. The case is lovely and holds everything in place with extra slots for other needle tips which can be purchased separately.I have smallish hands, so the 4" tips was fine for me and allow me to make 16" circulars to knit hats. The needles are quite pointy, but not so much as to hurt fingers. I feel that my knitting is a bit quicker with the steel needles but they aren't so slippery that the stitches fall off all the time. So far, I've been keeping to the gauge of the patterns I've been using as well. The cables are terrific as they don't hold their curled up shape from the storage bag. The joins are smooth, and I would recommend using the tightening pins as they really do hold the join securely. I plan on buying more of the small cable connectors to use with my Boye set as the small cables will work with those needle tips making the Boyes far more useful (the original Boye cables are too stiff). My only critique is that the etched sizing on the needle tips is quite faint and I can't even see the lettering in some lights. I have the Clover Takumi, Boye and Denise sets, and this Chiaogoo set is my favourite.ETA: There are questions asking if the 5" tips can be used with the cables of this set - yes. As long as the join size is the same, all Chiaogoo cables go with all tips; so small to small, large to large or mini to mini. The cables of the Spin tips fit on the Twist tips and vice versa.

Absolutely fantastic they are exactly as described and delivered very quickly, I couldn’t be happier. I love the neat bag everything comes in and makes them perfect for taking my projects on the road.

I am happy with the needles, but in all other shops, the complete set includes the accessories mentioned as being included in the manufacturers' note. Very disappointed and will be in contact with seller.

A mí se me hacen más versátiles que las puntas largas porque puedes ocuparlas para más cosas, pero pues cada quien como se acomode (creo que la marca también hace el mismo set pero con puntas un poco más largas).Viene también con dos sets de cables. Los dos tienen cables del mismo largo, la diferencia es que unos son para las agujas pequeñas y otros son para las grandes. Todo viene etiquetado en bolsitas ziplock y también viene como grabado en las partes que se conectan con las agujas. Los largos de cada juego son: 2 de 20cm (gorritos!); 1 de 35cm y otro de 55cm.Otros extra que trae: una regla con medidor de agujas, marcadores de puntada (son aritos de colores según el tamaño y no son removibles), llaves para apretar bien las agujas y que no se zafen mientras trabajas, y unos topes para que no se salga lo que estás trabajando por si necesitas quitar las agujas que estás usando del cable. Si se me olvida algo, editaré este comentario, pero según yo es todo.------Apenas llevo usándolas una semana pero me ENCANTAN. Leí muchas reseñas antes de comprarlas (porque sí es mucho dinero :'( ) y todas mencionaban que los cables no tienen memoria; es decir, que vienen dobladitos en el empaque pero a la hora de sacarlos y usarlos no se quieren volver a enrollar. Ya he ocupado otros cables para intercambiables antes que siempre hacen eso y es en serio muy molesto; así que estoy muy contenta con esta parte ya que me puedo concentrar en trabajar sin andar peleando con el cable, ja.Yo en lo personal prefiero las agujas de metal (creo que la marca hace de bambú, por si a alguien le interesa) y estas me encantaron. Tienen suficiente agarre para que no se esté saliendo todo, pero son lo suficientemente suaves para que se deslicen súper bien las puntadas mientras estás trabajando. Creo que esto y que son puntiagudas me están ayudando con un proyecto que estoy trabajando en mohair; lo estoy haciendo más rápido que con las que estaba usando antes de que me llegaran. La punta agarra súper bien el hilito del estambre a la primera.Por ahora estoy muy satisfecha y lo único que me gustaría es que incluyera un cable mucho más largo para hacer esta técnica del "magic loop", porque el cable más largo no alcanza para jalarlo bien y seguir tejiendo.Estoy contenta con la compra pero creo que, para realmente sentir que sí valen lo que cuestan, necesitaría usarlas un tiempo más (años, tal vez?!) para ver qué tanto se desgastan (o si no se desgastan que sería hermoso).

Wow!! These arrived less than 2 hours ago and a review is already warranted.First off, I’ll explain my old set. I have 2 Bule sets I got at Michaels and have been using them for 7 years. They served me well and I have many hours on those sets. They’ve actually held up quiet well.However, the cables are STIFF. Not usually a problem as I tend to knit bulkier and bigger projects. But a few days ago I started my first ever 2AAT socks. Ohhh the frustration!!Between the stiff cables, needles unscrewing, and the stitches constantly hung up on all the joins, all 4 of them, on all 8 corners of the socks... what a bloody nightmare. My hands and fingers were in agony.So I set out to buy a new set. I always had my eye on a knit picks set but after reading reviews about them unscrewing I kept looking. After 7 years of needles loosening on me I was done with that nonsense.I found several blogs and video reviews that compared various brands. I settled on this particular set because of the size range, as many brands have a small and large set and I didn’t want to have to purchase 2.This complete set has all the sizes I will ever use. US 2-15.My socks are now on these cables and the difference is mind blowing (as I knew it would be!!). The needle tips are perfect. Not too blunt or sharp. The no memory cable is an absolute dream!! And the joins, omg, they are so smooth and stitches move easily across them.The overall smoothness is sure to dramatically reduce both my knitting time and strain on my hands.My set came with everything pictured: US2-15 needles, 5 cables, markers, key, end stops, and the case is far better quality than I expected it to be.So happy I chose these. I will update as I use them more.
