Best hood cleaner and waterproofer i have used. Really easy to do with great results. Would definately recommend covering paintwork and glass before using the waterproofer. I just bought a couple of dustsheets, lifted roof slightly, put sheets in place and dropped it back down again!! Used on Audi S3. Went for 1 litre to be sure I had enough. Used just over half so 500ml wouldn't have been enough.

Overall a good product, followed the instructions perfectly and the hood is definitely cleaner but the cleaning product didnt clean the hood completely. Maybe I am being harsh but it deffo did work.

I thought I would treat my 2015 Audi A3 Convertible to a clean and reseal. It has always been garaged so the hood was in good condition, no green mould, bird droppings or tree sap. The Protex canvas cleaner was very easy to apply, although even applying twice I hardly used a quarter of the 1 litre bottle. The kit's supplied two paint brushes and brush was also a little unnecessary, paint brushes clean easily so one paint brush can be used for both the cleaner and waterproofing, and the supplied brush was very stiff so nothing special about any of them. After cleaning the roof it has to be totally dry before the waterproof is applied. Doing the cleaning inside obviously helps ensure that the cleaned roof remains clean, but then drying, might take longer. I used a carpet spot cleaner to suck up the dirty water. Not sure it that is recommended but it did the job and collecting the dirty water proved that the hood was dirtier than it looked. I think next time I might invest in a high absorption drying towel. I do feel it needs something to take out the dirty water and they never recommend using a pressure hose. Although it is never recommended taking a convertible through a car wash, I do, and the supplied scrubbing brush was far harsher than any car wash I have ever used. Next time I might be inclined to wash it twice, then take it to a car wash, before applying the waterproofing. (I'm sure there are professional detailers who would disagree). Applying the Protex waterproofing is considerably slower. The canvas just soaks in the liquid making it a much slower process. The second coat has the added problem of the first coat causing beading of the second application's liquid. Just takes a little more effort required to brush it in. Two coats used up almost all of the 1 litre. It is an easy job, just slow. The cleaner and waterproofing worked fine on my car's grey canvas and when the waterproofing was dry it certainly made a difference. How long it last will be interesting. As the car is garaged I would expect it to be an annual task, although Protex recommend every six months. Delivery was quick, I wouldn't bother with the kit unless a paint brush and brush are not available, 500ml of the cleaner is more than enough for probably about twelve washes, 1ltre of waterproof liquid though appears just right for a four seater car.

Really good at removing all the dirt. I didnt realise how dirty it was (only bought the car 2 weeks ago) until i cleaned it today. It has made the colour really stand out.. NOTE: First clean the soft top. Then wash the body as i did it the other way around and had to rewash the car form all the dirt that came out. Lool. 🤣

I found that the cleaner needed 2 applications to get the roof clean, it wasn’t particularly dirty, i followed the instructions to the letter, on one hand that makes the product gentle on the fabric so I’m not complaining about that, however the other part of the process the product to waterproof again I followed to the letter and it said it needed a second application in the opposite brush direction however it ran out and i didn’t even get the full roof done once, never mind enough to do it twice, it’s a c class convertible so not a large roof but a serious under supply by this company. I neither saturated it or spilt but had to buy more to finish the job and that makes this product very expensive with alternative products from other manufacturers being better value.

Cleaned the roof well. I liked that the kit was complete with brushes. Maybe the proofing bottle could be graduated to show how much is left. I had barely enough to do a Mini roof. But results are so far so good.

I’m so impressed with this product !! I started to notice some green algae on my mini soft top (only 2 years old) probably due to all the rain we’ve had recently. This product does exactly what it says on the tin. Easy to use and all the kit such as brushes are included I did exactly as they recommend by doing a test patch first to ensure no colour fading My soft top looks brand new and no green algae in sight !!!!

Very very good the cleaner and also the waterproof solution. 1 liter was enough for a very old New Beetle cabrio that was never treated. i think it could of take another 0.5 l if I had it

Great item. Very good quality and easy to use. After cleaning we used the protectant to conserve the top. Highly recommend

Seems to work ok, but the paint brushes are not worth the effort. The protectant cannot be applied with the brush, the fabric just takes too much of it. I added it to a spray bottle, sprayed it on and then brushed it in after. Worked well.

This product applies easily and beads up on the first rain, but only beads up once. Subsequent rains soak in to the fabric top.

Well didnt see it work the first time I used it but after a couple washes it started working like magic the car had been sitting for like 13 years looked almost new when I got done.
