Szco Supplies Viking Battle Axe
I found this item while looking for Viking Replica weapons as a gift for someone special who loves everything about the Vikings. It certainly sounded impressive for the price and looked great in the picture. I found the Axe to be even more impressive when I received it. It was perfect and the pricing was fantastic. The wide stainless steel head is very impressive and the handle is a nicely finished wood. You might find one for $150.00 that could be a little better but I would have paid double what I did for this one and been happy. This may be a review of the first Battle Axe, or the second one since I was so taken with the Axe that I ordered a second one for myself. Would recommend this to any viking weapon fan. Will look great as a display or for re-enactments.

Most highly-prized possession
I bought this axe for my 17-year-old son, who aspires to be a Viking, and loves it. He owns several other medieval weapons, but this is by far his favorite! He could barely put it down, the first couple of days after he received it. I hated paying $10 for shipping, but otherwise it was a bargain! The axe has a solid, no-nonsense feel to it -- truly, a delightful weapon for hanging on a wall, using in a costume, or just carrying around as an intimidating conversation piece. The bottom point of the blade is quite sharp -- only the very coolest of parents will be able to bring themselves to buy this for their sons.

Not as bad as others say
Ok here's the way I look at this item... It's not that bad for $25. It has a great shape to the blade and reminds me of the axe of the death dealer painting by Frank Frazetta, that graced cover of comic mags and album covers in the 70s. Is it the best axe ever...?..no but it has massive potential to be one of my best badass axes when it's all said and done.First I would sharpen it to shaving sharp then, I would probably replace the handle with a longer one to start with, and then acid etch Viking symbols and also blue part of the blade for contrast. Wrap part of the handle leather stripping and stud it with antique upholstery tacks. Like I said it has massive potential to be great.I could also use the handle it came with to make a medival spiked club. Nothing is wasted that way & I end up with 2 new bad-assed weapons for my collection.

Fun prop, great price.
Really not bad for decoration or maybe a costume. Nice and think so nothing will really break. Can’t really find anything wrong with it. What you see is what you get. The wood color and grain pattern might vary.

Perfect prop!
Perfect! The blade is blunt so no troubles with someone getting cut and it has a nice weight! I tested it out on some watermelons and had a fun time! Perfect for any costumes whether it be halloween or renfair! (Tho do be wary it is a little cumbersome unsurprisingly)

The handle looks like a leg off of a piece of furniture
The axe is quite large. The handle looks like a leg off of a piece of furniture. There is visible glue at the top where the axe head meets the handle. It's a great prop and could look nice on a wall. The blade is blunted but the tips are quite sharp. The axe head is great, very intimidating. The shaft is a pathetic chunk of wood. I woud spend more money and buy something with more detail.

Cool axe!
Awesome. Especially awesome—the price! It is a good piece of metal. My advice? take the axe head off, sharpen on 370 on a belt sander, put wood glue in the stock, put the wood handle back in, clamp for 35 hours. Iafter that, I’ve thrown it at every tree in my densely wooded yard. Bravo!

The look on grandma's face . . .priceless
Should have seen the look at Grandma's face when my 13 year old unwrapped thi for his brithday. LOL That alone was worth the price of this battle axe. Son and I made a display so he can hang this on his wall. Nice decoration, but we have had the conversation that it is dangerous and treat it with respect. I cant imagine using this for anything but a display, but trust me it could do some serious damage.
