I love the large re-closeable bag, much more economical. This product is very delicious for a non-caffeine drink. I have used this product for years and still enjoy. If you have never tried it, I recommend buying a smaller jar, but I believe you will be surprised at the great flavor. (5-star rating).

It doesn't taste exactly like coffee, but close enough when I use two level teaspoons. The granules are very small and uniform and they easily dissolve when I pour boiling water over them. The taste is actually quite pleasant... I'm not yet sure how I would describe the aroma, but I do not find it unpleasant. I like the fact that this large bag has a zip closure, although I then but the Postum bag into a large plastic bag that also has a zip-type closure.

My husband can no longer drink caffeinated beverages, but he says Postum provides a great start to his day. The aroma is delicious, too!

For hubby who can’t drink coffee

This is the best coffee substitute I’ve found. I love coffee, but it upsets my stomach and the form of caffeine in coffee affects me badly. I can’t even drink decaf. I’m still searching for the perfect substitute. Postem doesn’t upset my stomach or affect my brain in a bad way. It has zero stimulant in it. I find the Postem a little bland and flat. I usually add a tiny bit of salt and some cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice along with almond milk. I don’t normally add any sweetener. It’s a decent morning hot drink, and it’s fine for kids to drink. It’s not bliss in a cup like coffee can be. Buying it in the bulk bag makes it more affordable. It’s pretty expensive.

I have high blood pressure and wanted to cut out my caffeine, I researched decaffeinated coffee, but the article said that it still has caffeine in it so I ordered the postum natural coffee, 2.62 pounds for $44.99. It did not taste like coffee and was undrinkable. I tried to return it, but there was no refund on their product. Maybe because of too many people wanting to return it.

Good product but it took forever to get it, about a month, then when it did arrive, the bag had been cut open, looked like accidently from a packing knife so I couldn't use it. By then this particular package was out so I had to opt for what was left which was one of those small jars. All said and done, the product itself is tasty ( Ive purchased it a few times prior in the small size) and Amazon is always very helpful and friendly but for this one particular item, it seemed to always take awhile to get, didnt last long because of the small size and it is spendy. I decided it was too much cost and a hassle to get so I just quit drinking it.

Postum has been around for a long time. It's great to see that it is still being made, although currently the production is from a smaller company that produces at a scale that leads to higher prices. That said, the 42oz bag will last a long time so the cost per serving is pretty low, this is actually a good value!
