.5mm off on Size
Not the correct size for most laser pointers on marker. Had a laser pointer with what the specs on this item said and it didn't fine and is about .

Sizing is off, definitely not compatible with most on the market.
Readers digest of my review:-NOT THE MOST COMMON SIZE, smaller size star cap. can be adapted using larger star cap ring-Excellent plastic lens and metal cap construction. The body is all metal, NO PLASTIC-clear straight lines and with clean lens you get no distortion-Use caution with 1watt blue laser and keep it wider so you don't burn a hole through the lens-good for lighting effects and safety lighting on bikes.Details on the star cap below. to make an adapter in my little ADHD drift there.Either I got the wrong ones or these are not compatible with most laser pens on the market. Does not fit a standard star cap thread. Way too big and not the size Most of the ones on the market. Nice metal construction not plastic but the ad misrepresents that they will fit most on the market. IF you need to adapt it to the larger size, take a plastic star cap and separate the top from bottom so you have a threaded ring on the bottom and the lens on top. Take the ring and screw or press the cap into the ring and boom, it works. It is a very tight fit, but it totally works and will last. you gotta check it if it is not stationary as it will vibrate loose at times. Not often, but i lost one off my bike when the thing worked itself off after about 3 months. I have been a star cap killer this past few months. I use these to make safety lights for cyclists at night. They cast a clear line with no distortion and a good beam that also can be used in a smoke or fog to make a liquid air type effect. very cool for webcam effects too. you can make a flowing effect in the air crossing the cameras plane(not shining it directly but up from in front and below.). I'll get some pix up, but if they were the larger threads they would have a 5 star, Or if they change the listing language to not imply most. but the caps are well made metal and last. clean the lens in you het haze around the line. , but this is not the most common size so if you have the wide thread star caps YOU WILL NEED AN ADAPTER MADE FROM THE THREADRING OF A WIDE STAR CAP. the cross is nice and clear and the lines are crisp clear and as long as the laser is centered and level to the lens the lines will be good. if it is cross threaded or at any angle the line will curve, but thw is only a issue with the adapter. Long winded, yes. Sorry it is so all over. ADHD is just one of the fun things I enjoy... most of the time.

Disappointed
Make curved lines. Impossible for my purpose. But fit to the laser.

Works great for creating a laser swamp
I bought a set of 3 laser pointers (red, blue, green) that had removable tips on eBay years ago and was looking for some line tips for a project. These fit great and produce nice clean lines. The one is an X and the other is a single line. I purchased them specifically to make a “laser swamp” effect for Halloween using a fog machine. Modified my laser pointers to have a usb cable and run off of a usb wall plug, combined with these tips it worked great for the laser swamp. Would recommend just make sure they fit on your laser pointer.
