Q: The listing says it's compatible with PSP-2001 but one review said it didn't fit that model. Will this fit?

Mine is a PSP-2001 and it fit mine.

Q: Reviews of the batteries are 50/50, so is it just a game of chance when purchasing PSP batteries?

So, I've bought 4 of these. 3/4 worked after a few months. 2/4 started to dwindle. So, that's your answer really. They are going to be obsolete soon so I'd stick with OEM and just pay the money or dump the systems, which I've done now sadly. But oh well, a table does the same thing but better.

Q: Does it work with psp 2001

I have know idea. Mines is a 2003 and it didn't work cause my psp was broken. Sorry I cant help
