Lippincott Review: Pediatric Nursing (Lippincott's Review)

This book gives a great overview of pediatric topics. I bought it in preparation for my certified pediatric nurse exam and it was definitely helpful. I know I got some questions correct because I had just read about it in this book. No need to spend money on the more expensive book options.

Got this book after failing Peds. It has helped tremendously. Got a 93 on first exam.

I have been an RN for 5 years working in mostly adult populations- and just started a position at a large pediatric hospital. I wanted both a book I could learn a bit from and a decent reference book (without spending $300) and a book to start working towards CPN. This is an outline just for the pediatrics section of NCLEX- not a word past NCLEX review. It is actually poorly organized within each chapter (not very readable) and so basic that it is not at all useful. Not keeping this one.

Excellent comprehensive review of pediatric concepts.

This book has hit all the right notes. It is perfect as a review before exams, covers disease conditions precisely without any additional clutter. Concise and to the point, with just the right amount of information. The tables and layout are easy on the eye. Section on genetics was impressive.
