French Sorrel success!
Great yield. I think every seed came up. Thank you. Earlier this year I bought some from Open Circle thru Etsy. Not one came up.... Thank you Ohio Heirloom for great seeds. I look forward to eating these leaves in salads and potato soup..... I will keep my son from tilling them up next spring. I had enjoyed being able to go out in the fall and I think winter to cut some leaves until a hard frost/freeze, can't remember which. Thanks again. I so appreciate you.

Sprouts quickly
These sprouted very fast and I seeded in pots indoor and straight into the ground. The ones in ground are growing slower but are doing fine. The ones in pots had to be transplanted outside as they started to get leggy very early. Some struggled with the transplant but the majority did just fine.

Disappointed to say the least.
The company shipped a second order when the first never arrived. Sadly however, none of the seeds germinated. I really was excited to have French Sorrell growing in my garden. I wish I could reach the company to let them know personally. Perhaps it was just a bad batch of seeds; but not one grew.

Wonderful plant for the garden -- cross between a veg and an herb. Excellent germination!
Excellent germination. It has been just over 3 weeks and I'm getting ready to harvest my first baby sorrel leaves. Sorrell is a bitter green so it is best combined with something else for cooking ... I use it all the time with fish, fruits (sorrell and strawberry salad with goat cheese -- yumm) and soups. I'm loving my seeds from Ohio Hierloom! The package came with ton of seeds so I'll be able to have several harvests this year (rotating crops every 3 weeks).

Space 5 inches apart,mulch,water and,Enjoy!!
I have no complaints, except the pigs like it too,all are growing fine. I found each plant grows much like a small bush so thinning and planting them about 5 inches apart in mulched soil and they'll grow larger leaves, taste great!

they grow but too little
Now it's already more than a month since I've grown them. They look good and taste like normal sorrel, but unfortunately, they are very small. Maybe I did something wrong, might try again.

Sorrel in my mini garden
They are growing happily in my herb and greens bed, along with another variety that I also ordered at Amazon. Family is happy, we can't wait for our traditional Polish sorrel soup. I sowed the seeds after last year's summer heat, they germinated OK, survived the winter and look good now. I'm going to shade them in case they suffer from excessive heat during summer. SUMMER UPDATE Harvested it already 3 times, doing great. Very, very pleased.
