Size:0.38 Inches Bertech Copper Conductive Tapes have a conductive acrylic adhesive for grounding and RFI/EMI (radio-frequency interference/electromagnetic interference) shielding applications. Also known as EMI shielding tape, it provides a very low rate of electrical resistance for good conductivity. The tape is solderable, resists oxidation and discoloring, and withstands temperatures of up to 155 degrees F. It has a peel-off liner, which protects the adhesive from exposure to air until ready for use. The tape is 2.75 mil thick, consisting of a 1.5-mil thick foil and 1.25-mil thick adhesive. The tape is 36 yards long and has a 3" roll core. RoHS Compliant.

Not what it says it is.
I have ordered this product four times. The first two times, in 2015 and 2016, I received a high quality tape with conductive adhesive. The third time I ordered it, in January 2017, I received a much thinner tape with non-conductive adhesive. It was so different that I thought I had mistakenly ordered the wrong item, but I had already used part of the roll for a class so I kept it. I use this tape with kids making paper circuits, and I usually have 3-4 rolls on hand so we're not all sharing one roll of tape. The stuff they are shipping now is so thin that it's nearly impossible to use it without it wrinkling and tearing, whereas the original, thicker version stays smooth, and is actually difficult for the kids to tear by hand. The last of my original high quality rolls is now almost gone, so I went back to my original order in my account and clicked "order again", hoping there had been some mixup and I would get the high quality tape. Once again, I received a thin tape with non-conductive adhesive. I suspect they are actually shipping the wrong sku as it is just a completely different product. Won't be ordering this again.

Terrible Tape
I bought from this vendor once before, received good quality tape. It was strong and rugged like 1.5mil foil tape should feel when handled. Unfortunately I have received two additional orders from them and the tape was sub par. Lets be honest it was crap. I could barely unroll it without it tearing. The backing was extremely thick, but the copper foil was extremely thin and fragile. Buyer beware, do not buy this. You will regret it.

Works great as speaker wire.
I used this in my apartment living room to make ghost wires for my surround speakers. It works perfectly for my application. The adhesive is not bad and you can solder to it with no issues at all. The tape is also conductive through the adhesive, which works great for easily making connections. Just what I needed.

Not just for paper circuits
I chose this based on another teacher's posting of his supply list for paper circuits. This worked great and I have a sample in my bag that I am constantly showing to colleagues. An easy, hands-on way to talk about circuits. And to create Art. And to practice teamwork, persistence, and creativity. (One thing I learned: the adhesive can block conductivity. This was a great learning/teaching moment so I am NOT sharing to steer you away from this product.)

Works fine; sticky, and conductive!
When you need to tape something, and you also need that tape to conduct electricity on both sides and through the tape itself, Kapton Tape comes through for you. Granted, there are not many situations where that is the case; but they do arise, and when you come across one, nothing else will do. I used this in conjunction with some wider copper tape to isolate the inside of my electric guitar from interference, and IT WORKED. It now no longer buzzes and hums like it used to!I would buy a thicker width if I was shielding another guitar; 1/4" turned out to be a bit too narrow for that application, but that's not the tape's fault. It sticks well and conducts well.Be aware that the edges of the tape are pretty sharp. You can easily cut yourself with this if you're not careful.

We use this in the classroom for STEM
Best deal out there. We use this for STEM activities with kids involving conducting electrical currents. Kid friendly and easy to use. It's self adhesive so kids can stick it to boxes and other things.

This sort of thing has been a super valuable hacking tool in my electronics shop for many years. Need a little shielding? Done. Need a solderable ground plane or some odd shape conductor - done. Handy stuff. The duct-tape of electronics...

very good quality!
I bought this conductive tape as an invention to use as a water leak sensor covering a large smooth concrete floor area in my utility room. I ran 2 parallel strips and soldered wires to the separate strip ends going to an alarm not knowing if the adhesive would stick to the floor or if the solder would work either, but each worked excellent and served its purpose.
