Epica Ironing Board Cover & Pad, Standard 15x54, Gray Chevron

I am really happy with this ironing board cover! Considering the price, the quality exceeded my expectations. It fits perfectly on my Mainstays ironing board (which I originally bought from Walmart), and it feels much more durable than the original cover that came with the board. The Mainstays one was too cheap and kept slipping off while ironing, which was frustrating. I did not even remove the old cover, just placed this new one right over it, and it still fits snugly. The elasticized edges and adjustable tape straps hold everything in place perfectly, which is exactly what I needed. No more shifting or bunching while ironing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a simple, affordable upgrade that actually works.

It fit the ironing board w/o issues. It's nice and snug and doesn't move when ironing or moving the board. Can't really say if the "heat-reflective coating" is legit since I don't have any instruments to prove one way or the other. Thickness feels good, but we did leave previous foam underneath. It's been a few weeks of use, and so far has held up well. No complaints.

Just over six months ago I purchased a Checkys Deals Silver Silicone Metallic Wide Top 18" X 48" - 49" Ironing Board Cover and Thick 6mm PAD from Amazon. It is a nice ironing board cover and I was happy with it. One of my cats decided that the ironing board would be a great place to do a little claw cleaning and she put several holes in it. The damage was not a result of any defect in the cover. I am not sure that Kevlar would have escaped unscathed. I tried ironing on the damaged cover but realized I was going to have to replace it as the iron was catching on the holes. I went back to Amazon and decided to look at all the available silicone coated covers and I found this one. This one had more positive reviews than the Checkys cover so I ordered it. I can honestly say that the Epica is, in my opinion, the better of the two because: 1. It has more padding than the Checkys cover. 2. It fit on top of the old cover giving it even more padding. I had to remove the old cover to use the Checkys cover. 3. It has two velcro straps to hold the cover in place. I added two more Dritz fasteners but I doubt I really need them. The Checkys cover has no straps and it moved around a bit. I had trouble trying to use the Dritz straps on the Checkys whereas they fit fine on the Epica. The overall quality of the Epica cover is just better. The one piece of advice I would give to anyone buying this cover is to make sure to install it nose end first. There is more material at the nose of this cover and while that makes for a nice secure fit, it does make it pretty much impossible to put the wide end on first. It is now June 2021 and this cover is still going strong!

I bought this a few weeks ago and have used it 8-10 times with no problems, but when looking at the ratings, consumers might want to consider the fact that free merchandise was given in exchange for several of the honest and unbiased reviews (all five star) that were posted. Pros: the padding is good, the "nose" is fitted and the length of the cover fits snugly so it doesn't slip around at all. Pro and Con: there are velcro straps underneath to hold width of the cover down which is a great idea, but the straps are too short and I could barely get them connected. Overall, this is a good product at a fair price, but it needs a couple more inches of velcro to make it great.

Background: I purchased this iron cover to replace one which had breathed its last (so to speak). After looking at a few different covers, I decided on this one. The Good: The cover has a nice, metallic, seemingly heat-deflecting coating on the outer side, which I like. It has a built-in cushioned padding which feels thick and substantial. The elastic around the edges hold really well, and the hook and loop (Velcro) straps make installation and proper fitment a breeze. It also appears to be fairly durable, as I have already inadvertently left the iron plate side-down once for a decent amount of time, and there was no damage to the cover. The Bad: None, as of this writing. I may update this portion of there are discrepancies where longevity is concerned. Conclusion: So far, I am well pleased with this ironing board cover. It's functional, well-made, aesthetically pleasing, and well-priced. I couldn't ask for more, and thus, five stars.

Love this cover/pad combo. I bought this because of a review I read, as most of you know new ironing boards come with a very thin pad now, and my new board was no exception. I needed a pad that would really have a pad, and this one does have a GREAT pad!! The silicone ironing surface makes ironing such a breeze. No drag, no slip. The fit for my standard board is perfect. The pad is secured all the way around the cover, so no more pad slipping out of the cover. It is surrounded by heavy weight bunge like cordage that makes everything nice a form fitting. Comes with 2 long velcro straps that are attached to the cove and span the width of the board on the underside for extra anti-slip protection. Having spent more than 50 years with an iron in hand, this cover is my very FAVORITE ever! Well constructed, great quality and the performance can't be beat! I highly recommend this cover/pad. I am very happy with the product and the selller, and you will be too!! I will be buying another to have on hand (just in case as I have a cat). This seems to be a high quality ironing board cover for a wallet friendly price. I opted for this type of cover on a second ironing board instead of a cotton canvas cover because it was listed as being waterproof. I use a gravity feed iron with my other board so I never have to worry about water leakage. However, I'll be using a couple of old, cheap secondhand household irons with this board and wanted something that wouldn't stain or get soaked by a leaky iron. It was a breeze to put onto the board. The elastic has great recovery but isn't so tight I needed a second pair of hands to help me pull it on. The cover has two velcro strips that tighten it down and smooth it out against the ironing board. The padding is dense and just the right thickness. I'm happy with it and will look forward to using a possibly leaky iron on it with no worries.

I had not replaced my ironing board cover in probably 30 years and desperately needed a new one. This was very affordable, rated highly, and had nice reviews, so I purchased it. The fit on my ancient ironing board is perfect, and wonder of all wonders, instead of elastic straps with metal buckles like my former cover had to keep the cover in place, this one has nice strips of Velcro. The surface feels nice and my iron moves smoothly across it. I've only had it for a short time and haven't used it much, but I have steamed hard, crispy pleats into at least 50 home-sewn surgical masks and successfully turned up the hem for a full circle skirt using what my husband describes as a "scary-hot iron," and the cover still looks brand new. I haven't spilled anything on it, so I cannot objectively address "stain resistance," but the surface has a solid and protected feel, and when I dripped some water, it immediately beaded and was easily dried from the surface. I assume any liquid would be similarly repelled.

Epica Ironing Board Cover/not worth purchasing the old one I through out was much better quality certainly would not recommend it.

Fits tightly over the old cover, hence giving additional padding to the board. Hook and loop straps keep everything nicely in place. Iron glides nicely over the fabric. Ironing is now a bit less of a chore. Very pleased with this item.
