These are almost comically small. They disappear into the light fixture and because of this act likespit lights. Perfect for our application. You cannot see the bulbs but the down lights give off a great glow. Light level is very good but note, you do loose total room light since it’s directed downward.

These are great LED alternatives to old incandescent light bulbs.

Works well in a china cabinet, not too bright, a nice warm dim light.

The bulbs work great and are low profile, which is exactly why I wanted them.

When I bought these, I suspected when I got these, they would be actually 40W equivalent. After all, it's typically about a factor of 9 from the LED wattage to the wattage of the equivalent incadescent. These are 4W. Therefore they ought to be equivalent to roughly 9x4=36W, i.e., 40W. Not 25W. Sure enough, they are vastly brighter than the 25W incandescent I was replacing these with---in fact, they were about (surprise surprise) 40W of equivalent brightness to my eye. The good news is this: This appears to be a very well made bulb with a very nice LED module in it. They behave very well under the dimmer, just like an incandescent would. So they are very nice. Just be advised, and it should not be a surprise, a 4W LED bulb will *NEVER* be 25W equivalent. These are definitely 40 watts equivalent, much brighter than 25. I can't complain too much---I knew there was a 95% chance this was deal when I ordered it. Hope I saved you some trouble.

So easy to order and get just what I needed. Price was great and just perfect for my China Cabinet. A lot of family memories is in this cabinet and sometimes I just stand and remember all the wonderful times we had at this table. I love the size of the bulbs.

One of the bulbs in my china cabinet burned out (40-watt incandescent), so it was time to replace both bulbs with LED lamps. I also had an entertainment center which used a different style but similar-sized 40-watt incandescent lamp. I was worried that these LED bulbs might not be bright enough because 3- or 4-watt LEDs seem more equivalent to 25-watt incandescents than 40-watt bulbs. I chose these because they were 400 lumens, while other 4-watt bulbs were only 300 lumens. I didn't need to worry - these lamps turned out to be plenty bright. My entertainment center has a 3-level switch for the lamp (low-medium-high) and this bulb worked fine at all three levels. So it was dimmable in that situation, but I didn't have any ability to test its full-range 0-100% dimmability, which some reviews have said was lacking.
