These dolls are adorable & sensible for toddler play.
I recently ordered the boy & girl dolls (along with accessory kit) for our 20mos old daughter for Christmas. Originally I was just going to get the girl, but then I saw the boy and he was so cute I just couldn't resist. As they are plush instead of plastic, I feel comfortable letting our daughter take them to bed with her. They each come with a pacifier that magnetically connects with their mouth. The accessory kit contains a bottle that will do the same. Our daughter loves "feeding" them and pushing them around in her stroller/shopping cart. The dolls & clothing seem to be of very good construction & quality. The clothes do come off (something she has yet to discover) & each has a little cloth diaper underneath. I would highly recommend them for any toddler, as some of the other dolls out there are not quite appropriate for this age range. I'm confident our daughter will enjoy playing with these for a few years before graduating up to any of the plastic varieties.

The best soft doll for little boys (or girls!)
I absolutely love this doll. My son is 2 years old and me and my husband knew early on that we did not want our son to be reliant on a pacifier at bedtime much after 12 months old. In comes this adorable soft cuddly guy. It was a present I bought for my son's first birthday and it quickly became "Arthur" and my son's best pal, especially at bedtime. We don't travel anywhere without him and to be honest I've bought 5 of this exact doll because I don't ever want to be unable to replace Arthur if he becomes lost or too dirty. I've already replaced him twice. The last time my son looked at the new Arthur and did a double take...must've been because he was so clean haha. I think Manhattan Toy Company used to make these dolls machine washable but the dolls of theirs that I have say to spot clean so I don't want to try them in the washer, so they can show a little dirt with wear. One downside to this doll is that the outfit does pill, but at least it is washable and you can use one of those electric pill removers and it looks a little refreshed after that. The first "Arthur's" outfit also lost the stickiness to the velcro at both velcro strips (back and crotch) and I had to sew them together so the outfit would stay on. I do think with normal play however this would not happen...our son just happens to love on Arthur all night and used to pick him up by the outfit a lot and not by the dolls body. The second 2 Arthurs have not had this problem. The doll also doesn't sit on it's own despite a slightly weighted bottom but the bottom and belly button detail are just adorable. I've also bought some other Baby Stella dolls (multiple colors and both sizes) so that my son has a well rounded group of friends :) Love that they offer both genders of Baby Stella dolls and in different skin tones. Little boys need dolls too! If you're on the fence due to price, just buy it, it's worth it.

My son loves his little fella
My son loves his baby fella! It doesn’t get as much attention as some of his other toys (right now the fixation is on cars) but I bought some toy bottles and he loves to pretend to feed fella and his other stuffies, and when we clean up toys at the end of the day he likes to hug fella, day night night, and tuck him into “bed” (a toy basket). I love that this toy rounds out my sons play experience by bringing out a gentle, nurturing side of him and that he can copy what he sees his mommy and daddy model for him. It’s also a nice gentle way to end play time before bed, vs trying to transition out of high energy toys like driving cars all around the house at top speed. The magnetic pacifier is entertaining and he’s just the right size for a 1-2 year old. Thinking about buying a crib so he can do the bedtime routine with his doll to further help him transition into his own bedtime routine with less fuss. And I have no way to prove this theory yet, but I’m hoping when we have a second child this kind of play experience will help my son adjust. (Might be wishful thinking but one can hope).

however that one is all vinyl and not so easy to cuddle
My two year old loves playing with another "boy" baby doll I got him a year ago from a department store, however that one is all vinyl and not so easy to cuddle. It's also hard to undress, and do diaper changes like he wants to do. I saw this Baby Stella doll, and while I loved the look of it, and how soft it was, I kept looking for a better priced doll with all the features this one offered. I couldn't find any other soft dolls for less money whose clothes he could take off and diapers were changeable. So, I came back to this one and figured I could always give it to a friend if my son didn't take to it. Well, as I write this, he's sleeping in his bed with his new doll, and he loves it. He feeds him a bottle, dresses him, changes his diaper, and reads him stories before nap time. It's truly adorable how much he loves his new baby. The price is a little steep, but the quality is wonderful and he really does seem to gravitate towards its endearingly embroidered face, and bottom weighted body. I find myself holding it from time to time while playing housekeeping with my son, and thinking how much I would have enjoyed this doll as a little girl. Bottom line, I'd recommend this doll to any parent looking for a soft cuddly "boy" doll for their child.

"Baby Stella" Boy - a fantastic choice!
I was staying with our two year old grandson when his Mama and Daddy brought home his new baby brother. Even though Mom and Dad did a fantastic job giving a whole lot of attention to the two year old and letting him "help" with the new arrival, it was still hard for him to understand the big change in his little world. After someone suggested getting an older brother or sister a doll to take care of, I started looking at dolls on Amazon. I knew the second I saw the Manhattan Toy Boy doll that it would be best for our boy because this particular two year old is not very "maternal" (though loving, he drags his stuffed animals and plays catch with them and takes them to his sand box to play with his trucks), so a soft doll would be best. This doll is adorable and very soft!! When we opened the box from Amazon and he saw the doll, I have never seen this child so excited! "His" baby had arrived. He takes his baby everywhere, pulls him in his wagon ... already has him potty trained :), and his Mom has made a back pack so the baby can go outside with him. They play with his trucks ... he shares all of his toys with his baby! He named his baby doll, "Bubba"! He really takes excellent care of Bubba! I don't know if a Manhattan Toy Baby Stella Boy (or girl) doll will help every little one who is about to have their world turned upside down (or so they think) by a new sibling, but it has been wonderful for our precious boy! It's really amazing to watch!

Great doll for son, or for a big sister with baby brother on the way.
Our son is always stealing his sister's dolls so we decided to get him a doll of his own. Amazon has a great price, less than 2/3 of the price of buying it locally. This doll is very well made and the body has a nice squishy feel to it when hugged. I like that there is a little diaper that can be put on and removed with velcro under the clothing, so cute! Our son also uses a pacifier at night, so he likes that the doll has one as well and he points that out every night now that he is starting to use words. I do wish that Manhattan toys would make more boy baby doll clothing and accessories. Everything else they make to purchase is for girl baby dolls. One thing I do not like about the doll is that the velour type material they use for the hair and clothing edging is like a super lint attractor and I am always having to clean it off so it doesn't look dirty.

Great for young toddlers and preschoolers.
Very nice doll, we got it for our 1 year old, she doesn't care much about dolls per se, but likes soft things to hold and carry around. She likes it, she really likes the pacifier to sticking it on the doll's mouth. Our 4 year old LOVES It and steals it from the one year old frequently, so if that's an issue you have to consider either buy two or prepare for it to be a cause for conflict. It is easy for the 4 year old to undress and dress and the pacifier is connected to the hand (doesn't have to be, but we left it on) so it doesn't get lost. It is soft and appropriate for our 1 year old and fun for the 4 year old. We also really like that it's one of the few boy dolls we could find.

Stop the PINK!
I don't normally write reviews on too many items. I thought that it would be important for someone to know this, however. This baby comes in PINK packaging. I ordered Sam (a boy doll) for my son who is just over 1 year old. I want him to grow up understanding his emotions and be free to express and nurture them ....... It's perfectly healthy for boys to play with dolls and girls to play with dump trucks. I wish the toy companies would start packaging toys in gender neutral packaging .... Kids his age don't understand gender specific colors anyhow .... But as he gets older, I don't want other kids making fun of him for certain gender specific choices he makes just because the world has programmed us to believe a certain item should be a certain color and certain people can only play with it. The doll is very cute though. He comes with a magnetic pacifier that my son will just be so amused with. Baby body is weighted with beads, I believe, in his bottom and a little in his feet. His arms, head, belly and legs are soft and squishy! We got the extra outfit also. They seem well-stitched and will hold up to play very well. His features are sewn out of thread, as is his belly button. There are no plastic parts to come off and pose a choking hazard. His clothes and white diaper come completely off and can be changed.

Lovely doll
My daughter loves playing with this doll, she also has a girl version. With it not having any hard plastic it means that when it does end up getting thrown around its nice and soft! The only real downsides are that its quite expensive and it doesn't have boy "bits" so its only really the clothes and hair that make it different from the girl versions.
