This stuff doesn't taste bad. But it's not good either. I used it backpacking, and rehydrated it with my food, like Mac and Cheese..it really didn't add much in flavor as far as I was concerned. In the end, I just ended up eating it dehydrated straight from the bag to get a little extra protein in my diet. But if that's all I need I would have resorted to Beef Jerky, more protein, more convenient , and cheaper. I'm glad I tried it, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Bought this product for a long backpacking trip and was very happy with it. It tastes really good, and can be eaten as a snack or added to dinner stews. It has lightweight and robust packaging. No funky ingredients either. A little pricier than I would like, but this product worked well for me.

The mustard one is the only gluten free one. Super handy for traveling as the package reseals. I like to mix mine with rice or Mac and cheese, so yummy. I've ordered twice and plan on placing another order. The only down side is, it is on the expensive side.

A bit pricey like everyone seems to agree on, but it really is good. I highly recommend rehydrating with a little water before adding to a tortilla or something. On my recent trip, I put a little water in the morning and by lunch time it was like having pulled pork you make at home in a crockpot

I only wish there was more in a pack as I put it in ramen an get about 4 bowls out of a pack BUT the stuff is great and so dang good in ramen chili an even just as a snack!!

I am a backpacker. I bought these as a treat to add some protein into my ramen. This is expensive freeze dried pulled pork. For what it is, it’s very tasty compared to other freeze dried products. I plan to purchase more and supplement all of my trail meals that could use some extra protein. These are expensive, but when you are an occasional backpacker I feel it is worth it to have some comfort that doesn’t add extra weight. You could easily stretch a package into 2 or 3 meals if you are just using it to supplement something else, like Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, or ramen.
