Crisp Clear Picture!
The Hisense Roku 4K ULED HDR Smart TV delivers a sharp and clear picture. Set up was beyond easy. The online setup walked you step by step through the entire process. The television is WIFI enabled so you are able to watch all of the normal streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. The home screen gives you a wide array of streaming services to chose from and download. It offers free shows via ROKU. ROKU offers an app to use on your phone to help control the TV as well which is a great option. The sound is Dolby Atmos and makes it seem as if you are in the middle of the movie, sporting event, or concert. I have a gaming system, cable, and a number of streaming services and all work well with the Hisense TV. I am able to easily navigate through the menu to get to exactly what I want quickly. The remote is also voice enabled to make it even easier to get to what you want quickly. It has 4 HDMI ports which is useful when you have multiple devices you want to use. Another wonderful feature is being able to project from your phone or tablet to the tv using the application that you download on your phone. The 4K ULED takes your TV experience from the doldrum to transformational. 55 inches is exactly the perfect size for a living area or even the bedroom. I like how clear the picture is and that the color is stupendous. There is no pixilation at all and the wide color Gamut makes the picture more lifelike.I find myself wanting to get another one for another room. This is an excellent value for this price point. I would recommend purchasing this Hisense Roku television.

The Best Roku TV
The TCL 6-series has gotten so many rave reviews from commercial sites that I'd started to believe the hype. I decided to do my own unbiased, unpaid, side-by-side comparison featuring a 65-inch TCL 6-series and a 55-inch Hisense R8. Note that the TCL uses the term "Action Smoothing" in its options menu, while the Hisense uses the term "Motion Enhancement." I was stunned to find that the colors on the Hisense Roku TV looked much more vibrant. You can judge for yourself in the attached images. I made sure that the image settings were identical, as shown in one of the photos, and each television was under the same lighting in every picture. The Roku operating system is famously simple and convenient. It's easy to download apps that provide many of the same channels seen on cable, along with video-on-demand services. In addition to HDMI ports, the television also has built-in RCA inputs, which allows for easy connection to older devices via those red, white, and yellow A/V cables. I also love the USB connector, which lets you enjoy video, audio, or images from a flash drive. Combine that with the ULED image quality, which is superior to other Hisense Roku televisions, including the newer "Quantum" model in my opinion, and the R8 is simply the best value when it comes to Roku TVs.

Great Value for a 65 inch TV
The picture quality is great and beats a new Samsung 65 inch that I have in another room. The colors are rich and vibrant compared to my new Samsung where the colors are more saturated. The viewing angle on the Samsung is better than the Hisense but for my setup no one is viewing the Hisense at an angle. The Hisense comes with metal feet that are very sturdy and not plastic. You can also adjust the feet to attach closer together which helped in my situation because my stand is not as wide as the TV. I saw in other reviews that the sound was not that great and would need a sound bar. I thought the sound was clearer and stronger than my new Samsung. I have to turn the Samsung up to 10 to get a clear distinguishable sounds while the Hisense I only needed to turn it up to 4. The Roku built in makes navigating the TV a breeze and the TV is very responsive when navigating different areas. It doesn't lag like my Samsung. The delivery was great through Amazon. TV was delivered by Amazon truck and in perfect condition. All in all a great buy

Great tv for price
I would have given this 5 stars, as the only issue is with the remote. It freezes at time. But as I have another remote on phone, it is not to much of an issue really more of a hassle. The picture matches the other tv (Samsung) I have in another room. The sound is awesome, easy set up. If hanging on a wall please note that the mounting placement will be higher than on other models due to tv's placement of mounting holes. It is extremely easy to put up on wall if needed. The stand if you choose is also good and not unsightly. It is easy to navigate as it is like most other roku tvs. If I need another tv in the future I will go with this brand. I did post picture that was taken from 16ft away and a video that is about 8ft away so you can see the picture and movement

Great tv all around
We are super happy with this television. Set up was very simple and did not take longer than 5 minutes. It has great sound quality and in our case it does not need to be turned up very high to be at a decent volume level. The picture quality is also great. It has great color depth with vivid colors. Being a smart TV, you have the ability to download numerous apps to make streaming experiences seamless and easy. We have a Roku streaming player also, but this TV has one built in which eliminates the need for more wires and plugs. The remote is simple to use and the battery power is displayed each time the tv is turned off or on. You also have the ability to download the Roku app on your mobile phone which makes it even easier to control your tv if your remote isnโt nearby. I could go on and on, but for our family this tv was a great investment and it works perfectly for our needs.

IT does what it claims & then some
AT LAST, a TV with a VERY EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD SOUND SYSTEM. I'm hard of hearing but don't need the CC with this TV. My 55" LG has to be turned up to 100 & then run through my Onkyo super amp to be able to hear & clarify. This Hisense performs perfectly at 31 with the included sound adjustment settings. I had a little difficulty at 1st with set up only because it took a while to understand the remotes format. It's almost too simple. But now it's a breeze & very versatile. Superb picture quality. I have an LG 55" in the living room & it is also a very fine (5*****) TV but is sometimes a bit quirky. The Roku channels exceed the LG channel list with far more choices. Also far more apps & easier app setup. All in all, with all it's neat features, it's an exceptionally GOOD DEAL for the price. Also, amazon should be COMMENDED on their shipping, as I ordered it Saturday & it was here the following Tuesday. Now THAT'S GREAT SHIPPING

Worked for exactly 15 months -- not bad for a 12 mo Warranty
TV seems like a decent value for the money but has several issues. 1) it died after 15 months of use. 2) Started rebooting a lot -- first sign of trouble. Watching a show and the tv will lock up then hard-reboot itself. Takes about a min for it to cycle through. 3) the picture quality is just OK at best. Movies with dark scenes are nearly impossible to watch since there is so much banding and no contrast those scenes in all but the darkest room are basically unwatchable. 4) The remote eats batteries far faster than other roku remotes I have in the house. 5) Hisense support is available but they didn't really have much to offer me since it was 3 whole months out of warranty. "try to hard reset" which I would but you need it to power up to do that... which they had a hard time grasping. "Well your unit is defective and it's also out of warranty." There are several internet videos on how to reset but none of them worked either... Needless to say I have replaced the TV with the Samsung I should have bought in the first place -- lesson learned. In short I've owned A LOT of home electronics and have several TVs this is by far the worst I've ever owned for all the reasons stated above. I've owned expensive ones and "cheap ones" -- I took a shot on this one because of the reviews but I am not a fan. Hisense is off the list.

Thank you HiSense!
I deleted my old review and adding my new one in place of it. Basically what happened is I have no luck buying electronics from Amazon! My PS4 Pro always shorted external hard drives and I had to send it to Sony for repair. They had to replace it. The same with this. HiSense offered me a brand new one. The one from Amazon never connected to the WiFi, always booted me off, could not get a 4K video to stream on YouTube and worst of all the video would fade to black with only audio. So far so good since than. I will not be buying electronics from Amazon anymore. Awful customer service, and package handlers who just manhandle the packages. Back to the TV. The 4K picture is great, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision especially are so far ahead it makes HDR 10 & stereo sound look outdated. My only complaints are no HDR 10+ and no HDMI 2.1 That aside i definitely recommend this tv! Thank you for the replacement HiSense.
