O other parts needed. If you are replacing a standard fountain you may need to switch the plumbing up a little. Also make sure you have power as well.

Is there any way to shut off water flow to the bubbler and still utilize the water bottle filler on this unit?

Was this supposed to come with the water filling? We received ours with just the bottom bubbler? No top part for filling?

Can I just buy the bottom portion to go with the top I have already purchased, what is compatible?

It depends on the exact model number of the "top portion" that you have already purchased. You may be able to simply buy the Elkay EZS8L, but I would not recommend buying it UNTIL you have ascertained that it is compatible with your top portion.
