Good traction, very few flats.
I'm going into my 3rd winter season with this tire now. I can't recommend it enough. I ride throughout the winter, often in some of the worst weather conditions. I used to take a lot more falls on my bike before I had these tires. I've hit some slippery patches, but I don't think I've actually fallen off my bike at all since I started using these tires. As far as flats go: I've had these tires on my bike for more than 2 years now (which is a pretty dang long time for a single set of tires), and I've gotten 2 flats. One was from glass. I could tell when I changed it that the piece of glass had taken a while to work its way through. I also found a lot of other pieces of glass in the rubber that never made it through the liner (spent some time picking them all out with tweezers, just in case). The second time was a nice sized staple in the road. You can have all the liners you want, but something like that is definitely getting through if you hit it at the wrong angle. I fixed it both times, and the tire has gone strong since then. Other tires I had in the past would get flats all the time. I even tried adding a liner between the tire and the tube in an older set of tires. Glass still got through, and it just made the tires heavy. These are pretty lightweight. They won't protect you against every flat (if you start riding over nails, they're gonna make it through), but it can protect better than most. So, in summary, I've gotten very good traction with these tires in slippery conditions (still gotta watch out for that black ice, but I've been surviving so far!), and have had pretty good protection against flats. After more than 2 years, they're starting to show some wear, so I'll probably be buying the same ones again! :-)

Great tires! Worth every penny.
O.k. These tires are great. I use these on my mountain bike that I turned into a commuter. I have them pumped up to 95-100psi and they are by far the best beefy road tires I have had on my mountain bike. I have used these in rain, snow and ice and they have great grip even when pumped up to their max. I have jumped off and rode up curbs with them with no problem. They are really durable. The rolling resistance is as close as I have ever gotten to my road bike tires. I am only about 0.5 to 1 mph slower on my mt. bike commuter with these tires than I am on my road bike with skinny little tires that I can pump up to 160psi. With some of my other mt. bike "slicks" I have had to pick the little glass and rock shards that get stuck in them at least every two weeks. Not with these, I rarely get anything that will penetrate the tread on these. They are pretty hard to get on, and I have pinched some holes in a couple of tubes getting them on, but I get way fewer flats on these things anyways, so just some patience and a little muscle will get the job done (I also found that three tire levers came in handy too).

Good tire. Good price!
I use these on my tadpole trike. Easy to change....20".....not sure why others are having issues as I didn't even need a tool to mount them. Getting them off the rim does require some technique.....I did bend a single metal tire lever! But these have good puncture resistance and good rolling resistance. Not as puncture resistant as the marathon plus tires, but not as stiff and they ride well.

Old Reliable.
This tire had kept me virtually flat- free for years. Yes, years. I ride a major highway that's a thorofare for construction trucks and handymen between cities. They deposit the usual screws ,nails and glass. The only flat Ive had was a razor knife blade the went completely through the tire. Hard to stop that one from going flat. I get about 2 years ( 100 miles a week during our riding season) out of a tire before it's retired to the trainer for winter riding indoors. That might be pushing it .When I remove the tire after it's useful life , it's amazing to see the puncture wounds in the outer casing that never made it to the tube. I use thorn resistant tubes with Slime ( I know, blasphemy for using slime) and have avoided swapping tubes on the side of the road. The tires are a little heavier than others, but the peace of mind is worth it. They install easily without levers on my rims and lock up tight. Great traction on wet pavement if I don't wait till they're bald to replace them. The only tires I buy now.

Ready for future use! (& "re-stocking!)
These a "future" front tires for my TerraTrike!. I've been riding on their "Triker" tires for quite some time now (& they'd ridden great- & held up very well! But aren't available now- So this is the closed tire- for my use anyway- & should do very sell! Since the Sportster is my transportation "post-stroke- (med caused in Feb 2001-at 44-lllooonnnggg coma-ssslllooolllyyy out- right side paralyzed-& improvement continues!) I ride EVERYWHERE - & the Schwalb tires are great!

Schwalbe Marathon tire is a great riding tire
Ordering experience was excellent on this next-to-impossible-to-find tire size (20x1.75) in Thailand. From order to receipt took 5 days going from the U.S. to SE Asia. Very impressed. The product itself did not disappoint. Tires are well made and no blemishes were noticed. Tire tread is thicker than the Kendas they replaced. I purchased these for extra puncture resistance. There is a lot of broken glass on the streets of Bangkok and that did my other tires in. Compared to other tires, installation was a bit of a challenge. The bead is tough and tire knives will be needed. Just make sure to observe the rotation indicator on the tire sidewall. It should be intuitive as the brand “Schwalbe” going left to right is the correct rotation for these tires. The reflecting stripe looks good on my all-black Dahon and is a marginal visibility improvement. Some reviews mentioned the Marathons were slow. I did not find that true. From day one they roll smoothly and have good traction. I still find them quicker than my original tires. It is best to keep these tires pumped up around max pressure (~70 psi) for best performance.

Great tire!
Great affordable tire. Have 1200+ bike path / greenway miles on these tires and still going strong.

I have a tadpole trike and love the knowledge of having the best quality tires on board.
