Does it fit a 2007 toyota tundra limited edition 4wd 5.7l V8? If so, does it require any modifications for installation?

Installed on my 14 sr5 with the 5.7 not modifications required. No issues with install. The issue I frequently run into is the air filter does not tighten on the intake properly and the filter has fallen off a number of times.

Will it fit a 2012 Toyota Tundra with the 4.0 v6 engine?

I do not believe so. Check the Rough Country website for the correct part number
