Hi there, the hole spacing is technically called "personal size" and overall dimensions of the envelope is 3.5" x 6.5" not including the tab which measures 3/8" x 1.25". The 4th image on our listing has a pretty good dimension overview. I have noticed most listings classify this hole spacing as A6 but its really not. the critical dimension that changes is the center gap between the 2 sets of 3 holes. For A6 its 1.5" and for personal its 2" center to center. These envelopes are personal hole spacing which most of the other products in this category are as well. Hope this helps!

Does money stay inside pretty securely, or does it tend to fly out as you flip through the envelopes?

They provide little velcro pieces to keep the envelopes closed. As long that you use those the money stays in. If you don't use them it will fly out.
