Rubie's Monarch Butterfly Pet Costume, Large

Adorable but too small for my golden retriever. Should be a strech material for the body of the costume to fit more sizes.

I wasn‘t expecting much from a pet costume, as we have been so disappointed in the past but I am THRILLED! The costume is so well constructed and the fabrics are chosen with pets in mind, soft and not binding. As you can see from our photo, our little butterfly even took a nap in hers. We will definitely order from this company again.

Originally bought this for my chihuahua mix, decided to order it again a size up, gave the smaller one to my cat, she hates it but it's super cute lol

I want to preface this review with the costume itself is nice. The glue for the wings came off in taking it out of the bag it came in but I have a glue gun so it wasn't that big of a deal. The size chart though is way way way off. I measured my 8 month old German Shepherd puppy to make sure she was getting the right size. She best matched the XL size which seemed odd to me but okay. When I got the costume the length was perfect... the girth was perfect... the shoulder / arm hole size and neck size doesn't fit. Proportionally speaking, I don't quite understand how a dog that's almost 3 feet in length and 2 feet in height is suppose to have arms skinnier than 4 inches in circumference and a neck skinnier than 6 inches in circumference. On top of that, I'm paying for almost half the cost of the costume in shipping to do a refund. I guess all of this to say if you have a large dog make sure you measure your dogs arms and neck and match it to the size chart before you buy... XL is definitely not XL arms and neck.

The colors are so cute on this costume. I bought this for my 12 pound toy poodle. She has a 12" neck and 18" chest. The wings were so big they kept hitting her in the head when she moved.

Love these little butterfly costumes on my French Bulldog and Pug girls. They are well made for the price and perfect for Halloween dress up! Pug Trixie weighs 15 lbs. Frenchie Lulu weighs 18 lbs. Although I knew the chest would be a "maybe" fit I purchased size Medium, knowing the Large would be too long on their shorter bodies. The neck piece fastens just fine, but the chest is a half inch too small. Doesn't matter. They look ADORABLE and the large would have fit the chest, but been way to large otherwise. Score one for their Mom! Ha!

My little fur baby, Penny, looks absolutely fantastic in her costume. She wore it a few times - once at a fundraising event and for Halloween yesterday. Many people stopped to ask to take photos of her and several asked where I got her butterfly outfit from. I will definitely order more clothing for Penny by Rubies Costume Co through Amazon. With the holidays coming up, we need some new outfits! Penny is 6.8 lbs and the small fits her wonderfully.

I had to return mine as it was too large. I have found that Rubie's costumes simply don't fit my dog. The small is too small and the medium too big. I really wish this costume had fit my dog as it was very pretty and the skirt was full.

Fits true to size, looks great, and none of it annoys my baby so she keeps it on.First costume that I have bought that actually fits.Make sure u measure though. I almost picked another size but after I measured I picked this one.I will definately be ordering more
