Reliable / Decent sound quality.
I have been using this daily for a while now (a few months). The speakers get a workout. The sound quality is decent and its proved reliable.

Good machine for dance teachers
Works well, looks good. Slightly bigger than I expected. Needed to replace my old machine. This was the next best thing as they don’t make variable speeds anymore. The volume is lower than expected. And a bit tight fitting in my old case, but otherwise a good machine so far.

JVC Boom Blaster
Brilliant unit excellent sound quality has lights with different light flashing sequence. DAB radio reception very good. Has headphone socket and mic and auxiliary input. One problem is the remote is pretty useless.

Large machine with great sound. Worth the extra cash, in my opinion.
Mixed reviews for this, but I really like it. Great powerful sound. You don’t need to have the volume very high and I found I didn’t need the extra bass option at all! DAB radio is particularly good and the CD player, though a little slow finding individual tracks, sounds great. The machine is VERY large though. Make sure you have space for it. My only real complaint is the remote control isn’t very good. You have to be standing very close to the machine for it to register at all. It is easy to operate though. Another nice touch is that it remembers the last DAB station you played. Even if you didn’t store it. It also remembers how far you got into a CD and plays from that point on even if the power has been switched off since you last listened to it! Very happy with this. It’s just a shame there was no cassette player attached. Then the machine would have been perfect.

Awful Microphone, bad remote. Lights don't move to music.
I bought this and had to return it. MICROPHONE quality was an absolute mess. It sounded like I was underwater. The instruction book said it Monaural. The previous JVC Boomblaster which I have gone back to, use the standard stereo / mono ports. I went to a music shop and tried a Monaural mic (probably mono) and it still sounded awful. I contacted JVC and sent them a video showing the problem, but the technical helpline rep had no idea what to reply (they probably weren't familiar with the product to such detail) - so they were useless. REMOTE barely worked even when right in front of the thing. It was as though the pick-up sensor was off. Not to mention the lack of number buttons meant jumping to a track on the usb required a lot of button pressing. The lights were fine. I think they were ultra-bright intensity so I couldn't look at them for long without it giving me eye pain. However they didn't react to the music or do anything too fancy. The power lead socket was sensitive. The lead fell out a few times. I could really force it in but I was worried that doing it too much, repeatedly would break it. This is not an issue with my earlier model. BATTERY is sold separately and good luck trying to return it. No mail carrier is allowed to transport batteries and unless you can hand-deliver to amazon return office; you will encounter major issues. I have gone back to my earlier model. It may be missing a USB slot and lights. But the remote works from anywhere in the room, has number buttons, has aux in, a working mic port and sounds superior. It also takes standard D Batteries. So I can just buy rechargeable which is cheaper than the battery pack. And also have spares to swap over when away from home.

Rgb should be better
I bought this boomblaster as a present for young teenager, but had chance to test it after purchase. Overall is not so bad, will say you got what you pay for it. Sound quality is exceptional, and big plus for me is , that still have cd, so you can play your old stuff. On other hand, have Bluetooth connection and digital radio, so almost everything what you need in this days. But probably you are here to check how "rgb" works... And here can you be disappointed... Looks nice but what I do not like, that you can choose only few options, which none of them is connected to music what you playing. So you can choose few effects, but none of them will be pulses to bit of music, unles your music bit will fit to rgb... This review is based on short experience based of about playing with it half of hour after taking out of box. Device firmware can be updated, so maybe manufacturer add some extras later, but I am not aware of this. And one more thing, check dimensions before purchasing, as is quite big, but do not sound that big as is.

JVC boom!!!
Extremely happy with this item, looks great, well built and the sound is amazing, yes the light show is a gimmick but it still adds a little something extra to the experience!!! Player is large but well built and the bass is incredible. Only negative is the effectiveness of the remote as it doesn't seem to have much range. All in all a sturdy quality player with amazing sound💪💪💪

Excelente calidad

I have an old one, wanted one with bluetooth
Since the 90s this iconic JVC Boomblaster intrigued me. Because of it’s massive size, because of it’s jaw dropping bass and overal sound, because if it’s build quality. A few years back I’ve bought an used older version with iPod dock, CD player and tuner. It’s being used in our poolhouse and it keeps amzing me with it’s massive sound. This old one has had better days, so I was looking up if they still got sold. That way I stumbled on this Amazon shop that was selling the lastest version for €298. I dropped it in the basket and left it there for some weeks. Suddenly I noticed the price had dropped to €276 and purchased it. No regrets. The newest JVC Boomblaster is still a beast, still robust and still has a massive sound. But now with DAB+ and Bluetooth on board. The flashing LED lights are a fun addition to use it as partyspeaker. But it has an “off” function 😅
