Does the lock smith cut the key into shape?

Yes, some will, sometimes hard finding those who will.....you still have to get it programmed to unlock doors, and also start the vehicle. The big expenses are programming the key fob generally nothing less than $75-$100. The cutting is inexpensive, but if you want a remote that is OEM or close to it ....that is generally the going price

I was able to program the door locks but the key will not start the car. Does anyone have the instructions for the chip programming?

The key needs to be cut to match your original key then ya thru the lock steps. These are the steps for a 2913 FJ Press the lock and unlock buttons on the remote simultaneously for 1.5 seconds. B. Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons, Press the lock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds. Within 3 seconds, the door locks should lock and then unlock once indicating successful programming Hood luck
