So my experience... the packaging that this item comes in is very thin resulting in all the parts spilling out and rattling around. This resulted in the item not working. I contact the seller who offered to replace the power supply and small hub but informed me that it would come from China and take almost a month to receive. Then after I ask, the seller verifies that they have them in the US, but apparently is only willing to ship a replacement part from China. So overall, poor customer service.I did manage to run a light off a aa battery. The lights are bright and would do a good job, the ball joint doesn't really allow the light to Pivot very far One Direction before it pops out of socket. Unfortunately it does not perform very well when used in a display cabinet and having to be mounted on the front edges of the cabinet pointing inwards. It just doesn't allow you to angle it in words enough. You're may be able to angle it up to 20 degrees and that's it. Better to mount from above or the side. They make some more adjustable lights with an actual adjustable arm, I'd recommend those.Poor packaging, didn't work, not very adjustable, and horrible customer service when it comes to an issue. Bad overall experience. I would not buy from some else other than Xking.Update: changed from one star to three. The product didn't work as it should have. The seller ended up expressing me the parts from china to fix the issue. Received the parts a week later. All works well now.

I'm impressed.These tiny lights (see the picture for reference — they are 1 5/8" tall, so shorter than a AA battery) pack quite a punch, and they are well made. The machining on the aluminum housing is clean, the threading is smooth, and the gasket on the ball joint fits properly. I appreciate that the remote is radio based, not infrared, so it works no matter which way you are facing. The lamps have wire channels machined into the base, so you don't have to worry about the wire getting in the way of your mount. The product arrived neatly packed in a tidy box.Now, a few things to note. The ball joint only has about 80˚ of play in it, not the full 90˚. This isn't an issue for me, but it might be for some people. I also had to laugh at the ad image showing a "full 360˚ rotation" on a uni-directional, round light source; that's poorly worded. Finally, if you intend to use all these lights within a 12 foot range of each other, they are perfect as-is. However, if you are interested in spreading further, you will need to solder in an extension; standard speaker wire should do the trick.I intend to mount these with screws, but the adhesive rounds appear to be your standard foam tape, so they probably work as well as any others.Good product, good price.

These spot lights were exactly what I needed to illuminate some of our Inuit stone carvings on our mantelpiece. It was a problem area where there was no power available to plug in or wire in conventional lights. The ceiling is also the floor so there was no place to snake wires. Because this is low voltage, I was able to simply drill a small hole through the floor to a location that was near a receptacle and ran the wires through the hole. I checked the local electrical code and this was permissible as the voltage is under 24v.The RF remote control works well with the receiver upstairs and the transmitter downstairs.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I have these setup in my basement in a drop-ceiling. I was able to run the lights and wires above the tiles and used the 3M tape that was supplied to secure the lights to the metal separators. RF hidden in ceiling works great from my desk with remote as does the dimming feature. Definitely going to be purchasing another set for art on the other side of the room.

Awesome!! Perfect lighting for the IKEA Detolf. Gives my 1/6 scale collectibles the perfect lighting. I was a bit skeptical to get them. So I only ordered one set to try them out and wow, they are a score. Had minor issues with the remote control dimming working, I sent them a message and they were able to help me out ASAP. Not only are their lights awesome quality, but their customer service is on point and that’s hard to find nowadays. Going to order myself another set!

These work just as you would want, with plenty of light, and finely-stepped dimming control. The remote is a very nice touch. The lights don't weigh much at all, and the adhesive pads are plenty strong enough to hold them even upside down. The slots in the base allow you to adhere the lights to any flat surface without having to have a hole in the surface to run the wire through - it comes out the side. Screws also provided.

These mini spotlights were exactly what we needed to highlight the lovely inner harp of an antique piano-turned-computer desk. We were able to use two 4-strip lights to light both the upper portion of the cabinet and the lower portion, by the pedals. The results were just what we had hoped for. Unlike LED strip lighting, which we tried first and felt rather static and cold, these lights are warm and elevate to another level whatever they're illuminating. The fact that they are easily adjustable makes them ideal for lighting artwork.

Bought these to illuminate an approximately 40" wide painting. Mounted them onto a wood panel as a base. Was afraid that I would not get adequate coverage with the spots, but found with proper aiming I was able to get fairly even lighting. Was also afraid the light might be too cool, but again I found then to work quite well with a pleasantly warm tone.
