Perfect Pod EZ-Cup Stainless Steel Reusable Coffee Pod with 25 Filters

So much better than alternatives I tried. The EZ-Cup allows maximum coffee to be used, easily! Totally clean disposal of filter and grounds in the recycle bin. More over, with no side outlets, it runs all the water down though the coffee grounds, achieving maximum flavor extraction, so you can either get stronger results with the same amount of grounds, or the same strength with less coffee grounds used, because you don't have to fill it all the way if your grounds are very strong. Follow the instructions on the box, but again you don't have to fill all the way. After being disappointed with other non-recyclable pods and other messy or lower-capacity refillable pods, I am totally delighted with this EZ-Cup refillable pod and filters. Note that I am using the Keurig K-Mini Plus machine, and while it works great with standard non recyclable pods, I don't want to continue to use pods that have a non recyclable combination of plastic bodies with aluminum lids that cannot be completely removed, or separated from the plastic without undue time and work. So in order to continue to use the Keurig, I have tried alternative refillable pods, and this EZ-Cup system works great. It also saves money compared to pre-filled pods, but does take a little extra time. I recently saw on TV that prefilled recyclable pods are/or soon will be on the market, so it will then be just a matter of either cost, or the option of using the exact coffee you like, if it isn't available in truly recyclable pods. Which is another benefit of using refillable pods, i.e. you can use whatever coffee you want, and you can fill them with the amount of grounds you prefer, after trying various amounts. Note I have learned that you can use less if the coffee grounds are stronger, or fresher, and use more if the grounds are weaker or older. A smell test is a good way of telling how strong the grounds are!

UPDATE: I have upped this to 5 stars. I do love the product but had an issue with the O-Ring coming off and got lost. I contacted the manufacture, and they are sending me a replacement free of charge. :) I love this thing, I use it every day. Love that you can compost the coffee and filter and that it's super easy to pop out directly into my kitchen compost bin. Works great makes fine coffee. UNTIL, the other day the lid would not seat when I went to make a cup. The O-ring gasket was gone from the lid. Now the thing is completely useless. I dug around on the manufactures website to see if I could buy a replacement O-ring. I can find nothing. So now I have to buy a whole new one just because of this. Poor design. And this is why I can only give it two stars.

This item is perfect, no more grinds in the coffee cup. In addition you can create your own coffee blend like I do with adding espresso!!!

Have been using this for sometime now and I must say I like it. The paper filter insert keeps all the grounds out of my coffee. I would have given it 5 stars but for the problem with the cap. I made coffee today and noticed the top cap was very loose. Turns out the small plastic gasket that fits on the inside portion of the cap fell off, probably while I was washing it so now the cap lid sits very loose on the bottom container. Now it's more difficult to remove from the coffee maker.

Easy to use and easy to scoop coffee into the paper filters. I haven’t had a problem with grounds getting in my coffee. Easy to close lid. Fits perfect in my ninja coffee maker.

I wanted a Keurig pod for my own coffee that was made of metal and used a paper filter. I would prefer all metal, but the small use of plastic around the rim is OK relative to other things I can find. The cap on the unique filter provides a barrier to the plastic, and I like that. Also, the spring bottom enables a smaller volume of coffee grounds, i.e. less wasted coffee. The paper-encapsulated pod of grounds comes out easily and cleanly once done; saving them in a jar for later addition to compost has been easy. I am quite pleased with this system.

Updated Review: The 100% Guarantee of this product is as good as the product itself. It is horrid. In order to get a refund, you can not have used the product because they request that you send it back to them (at your expense) in the shape EXACTLY the way you bought it (brand new and not used). That is NOT a guarantee of satisfaction because it would mean that you cannot use it to see if you are satisfied with it. Again... this is a BS product that Amazon needs to remove from its site. Do not be fooled by their false advertising and gold satisfaction banners. This product is a scam and they will steal your money. Original Review: This pod simply does not work as intended. That spring does nothing other than take room away from putting in the normal amount of coffee grounds for a normal cup of coffee. It does NOT pack the coffee by any means whatsoever. Very wrongful advertisement. Furthermore, the top pops up during brewing, spewing coffee throughout the coffee maker. It will ruin your expensive coffee maker. The spring is supposed to collapse so this does not happen, but it does not. It is a gimmick product. Unfortunately, because of a death in the family, I was unable to send it back within Amazon's window. I missed the deadline by 5 days. So now I am trying to get a refund through the manufacturer, who is supposed to have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We'll see how well that works out. I will post an update of the results either way. What I have done so I can use my old generic pods in my new coffee maker is to use a dremel to cut off the hinge of the coffee pod. Works perfectly and amazingly the top stays on. I wasted money on these over-engineered spring pods that simply do not work.

The lid doesn't always stay on but it delivers full flavor coffee with no fines. I think the spring loaded bottom is a little gimmicky and dont believe it contributes to the taste. Also, it can get stuck on the needle at the bottom of the brewer.
