SAMSFX Fishing Strongest Magnetic Net Release Magnet Clip Holder Retractor with Coiled Lanyard

If you choose to rig your net (or other gear) with a magnetic release, this is your huckleberry. When rejoining, the magnets "home" every time in perfect alignment, and are strong and secure without being difficult to release. It's insanely easy to get the connection blind behind the back as they have strong attraction. The premier attribute of this rig is that the magnets are secured to their respective bases with SCREWS. No worries about glue giving out and losing magnets, or worse(!) your expensive net. I have the lanyard attached to a carabiner on the left side of my chest pack, and it affords me generous unrestricted reach with my net. The coiled lanyard is of good construction, provides ample extension, and is totally unobtrusive in its retracted state (as I have it rigged, anyway). I like the way this set-up keeps my net from dragging in the water behind me, or from snagging trees/bushes in tight or overgrown streambank trails and aproaches. It's cheap insurance from losing a prized net, and I have every confidence in its use and deployment. This rig is a great value, of superior quality, and functions flawlessly for me. Highly recommended.

Works just like it's supposed to. Great price, not overly heavy or large. Hooks on the back of my pack on chest pack easily.

I have used this item several times over my trips. I have mine clipped to my upper back, and once I became used to the new set up on my vest, it made landing a lot easier. The magnet is VERY strong and holds together, the magnets never disconnected unless i pulled on my net. It detached easy and was not hard or caused an issue. I really enjoy using this product and it will be worth to buy because, to me, my net is secure and never in the way, always ready when I needed it.

Yeah. Honestly didn't expect that. Haven't had an opportunity to test it in the field yet (ps, magnetic fields weaken in the sun/heat), but this tiny little magnet is strong as hell. No friggin' way I'll be losing my fishing net in the current. Kinda more worried about my zip-tie and net frame to be honest. lol Seriously, it takes one mighty pull to get the thing loose. Only thing I might suggest is to use the small silver split rings that it comes with (or smaller ones) because I replaced it with a bigger one and each time the magnets separated, it actually became attracted the split ring itself, turning toward the inside of the circle. It was basically non-functional after that. But that's how strong the thing is. Tether looks great, but I probably won't use it.
