Quality soap
This is an excellent quality highly milled soap with a natural, pleasant scent. Put it at the bottom of your shaving mug and let it get wet and warm. You can then work up a great lather with the brush.If you're used to creams be aware that this is a hard soap. Working up a lather takes fractionally more effort but it's well worth it.

There are cheaper soaps, and if you can deal with the scents of them and budget drives your decisions go another route. On the flip side, if you want a good soap and don't want to pay artisan pricing this is a good medium place to land. I love the scent & load this soap heavy; results are great shaves. Great for sensitive skin
This is a great shaving soap for sensitive skin. It is a bit harder to lather than Edwin Jagger shaving cream, but easy on the face and the wallet.
