La Perruche Brown Sugar Cubes, 26.5 oz, 750g ( Pack of 4 )

I frequent a tea room in Albuquerque, and they serve brown and white sugar cubes. I like being able to recreate the experience at home. These are lovely in black teas (Scottish, Irish, or English breakfast, for instance). I usually use two (or three if the cubes are small) and a splash of lactose free milk (I so miss real cream). I have placed two or three orders for these, and will be placing more. Can you get them in actual stores? Sure. But the price is similar, and you have to get dressed to do it. I like the convenience of on-line ordering for these.

If you're looking for the Real Deal -- La Perruche sugar cubes -- be advised that you might get a substitute that is not returnable. I received a 1 lb 1.5 oz. (500 gram) box of Gilway Demerara sugar cubes. If you don't mind the difference in amount (less) and type, fine. I was not at all happy, having purchased La Perruche before. I admit I like their parrot and the way their box displays the goods, but I objected here chiefly to the false advertising. Don't say you weren't warned!

I had a confirmed order for a box of La Perruche rough cut, brown, sugar cubes. Instead I received a smashedbox of Gilway Demerara, pedestrian, generic brown cubes. The damage was due to the fact that the box wasplaced in an envelope instead of a box. Evidently, this product cannot be return, even though it said Prime.

Perfect to offer with tea and coffee. Serve with sugar tongs :)Children adore them as a unique treat.

This is how my purchase arrived inside an envelope. I don’t think this happened inside the enclosed envelope so the seller had toKnow the box was open AND sold it non-refundable as I found out after the fact.

This is great for coffee...in European hotels and restaurants we have been to they serve this or something very like it with Coffee services along with rough cut white sugar cubes...it was great to find it on amazon.

Great sugar product but unfortunately will not order again. The box was was not properly wrapping and busted open and the sugar was all over the Amazon packaging. Straight to the trash. Waste of money.

My niece who is coming to my town for college just visited and she likes these as much as I do... She suggested pouring the coffee over the cubes. I am able to mock up my own Cafe de Hoya inexpensively at home vs. paying $4 for it at Chucks.My concoction is using these, a bit of cinnamon and fat free half and half. :-D
