Panacea84169 Trough Coco Fiber Replacement Liner, 24-Inch, 24 inch, Natural

I bought two sizes of these -24” and 36”. This is my first time buying this type of product so my knowledge is limited. The 36” (shown in first two photos) - though I like the way it looks, is definitely not what’s pictured on amazon. It’s thin with a rolled/lip type edge. It came in a very large box so it wasn’t bend or folded at all- which was great. This is contrast to the two 24” ones which arrived in a small box, folded a few times- between in half and a third. It’s a totally different looking fiber than the 36” one, thicker, no lip, and had really gross looking parts to it- some darker areas, some chunks of acorn or something, and either remnants of plastic or some sort of disgusting goop. The 24” is shown in the last three pictures.

I put three of these into built-in metal holders on my balcony last summer, added dirt, and planted geraniums. They held up beautifully all summer. In fall I removed the flowers and left in the dirt. They held up through our MN winter. This summer I did not plant anything, but noticed they were getting smaller--birds (finches) were carting away pieces and chunks of the liner for their nests. Therefore the dirt was falling out and making a mess! I got rid of the original 3 and bought another one for the birds (since it's late to plant flowers). I like these coco liners, very sturdy. Just make sure something is planted in them or the birds will cart them off.

Just the size I needed! I've been looking for the 24" size but no luck until I found them here on Amazon! So happy. My wrought iron flower boxes look perfect. I hope I can still find this size next year as well. They are very well made, not thin like many I have seen. They're also deep which I like since they hold more dirt than ones I've used before. I am so pleased! They arrived sooner than expected and I am a happy Garden Girl again!

I don't often write reviews, but given the mixed reviews on these I wanted to add to the 5-star contingent. They arrived promptly and in good shape. A few folds that disappeared when soil was added. They look great and have held up beautifully already in two recent downpours. They are the same thing I would buy at my local garden center; what I paid for three is the same amount I would have paid for one locally. I will definitely buy these again.

Last year I bought from Home Depot 36 inch planter boxes to hang from my patio railing. The coca liner that came with the planters did not hold water well. Before I gave up on the planters, I purchased replacement liners to see if that would help. It looks like it will. These fit perfectly in the planters and arrived in great shape. I planted some color last weekend and they definitely hold water. I am excited that these are working and it makes the planters I have usable without watering every day (okay - in July in Texas I will probably still water most days).

These seem to be made well and were the correct size. My only complaint is that they don't come flat--they come folded in thirds in plastic bags. It took quite a lot of time and effort to get them flat enough to handle and fill with soil in my hanging baskets. Good price, though.

Love these ... great for above ground or planter boxes . It seems plants flourish in them better. I would love to have these for tomato plant planters. I think the plants would be so much happier. I may cut up these next year to make my own. Everything in other planters have been drowned by all the rain this year, while those in these shells are beautiful.

Perfect, just what I was looking for. My old coco fiber liners were more holes than fiber so had been looking to replace them...but I didn't want to spend a fortune. These were thick, pliable and well constructed. They work well.

Sorry to say it did not fit even though it was supposed to.

Disappointed. This product is for a wall basket as it has a flat back. There is no way it remotely fits a free standing 24 inch trough.
