A lot of computer for the price, easy to set up and use
This Chromebook works perfectly, straight out of the box. Log in with a Google account and it's all so straightforward. OK, so not quite as fast or got quite a great a screen resolution as a laptop for 4x the price, but at this price do you care? :) Great battery life too. I bought it for my children, but if my own MacBook were to fail I wouldn't hesitate to buy another of these Chromebooks (it would then be the third one in our house). Did I mention the incredible price?

Brilliant, so easy to use HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Brilliant, so easy to use!if you've never used Chromebook before, fear nothing. This laptop does everything that a ridiculous expensive Mac book can do. SO SIMPLE to set up (under ONE minute!!!) it even powers on by just opening the lid.Ten hour battery, good screen, good keyboard, built in web cam, and the entire Google Suite of apps built in.you can even download (eg Microsoft) from the Google Store (free). Also runs Andriod apps as well.Complete with USB-C x2, High speed USB-3 x2, and micro sd slots, and even a kensington lock receptor.Fast 45w charger included.Good RAM and memory onboard.WOULD VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this laptop

Remarkably capable for basic use such as Web browsing
This is my first venture away from Windows - and my first 'SSD' based laptop, so I can't compare it on a 'like for like' basis. I've not tried anything on it beyond Web browsing, but for this it seems to work very well indeed, given its modest CPU and (fixed??) 4GB of RAM. And the low power requirements of the hardware means that it offers a remarkable number of hours of use between charges.Obviously after just a few days of use, any storage capacity limitations of the 32GB eMMC drive aren't going to show up - as with my similarly sized Android tablet drive, i'm going to manage what is put on it. These Chromebooks are intended to use Cloud storage for data (they need regular access to WiFi for this, obviously available whilst browsing) but I chose to set mine up to use a microSD card for data storage (for reasons, see below!). With this, I am taking responsibility for backing up my data, so it is not without its downsides! The screen seems fine at this price point - clearly a more expensive type of LCD display is likely to offer wider viewing angles, etc. - and although the loudspeaker system quality is likely to be better on most more expensive laptops, i'd say it is 'OK' - headphones are the way to go if you want to listen to higher quality audio, such as music, on it.The keyboard is again 'OK', although it doesn't compare to typing on a proper keyboard, obviously, and the laptop has a good array of ports. The touchpad seems adequate, although i rarely use them, preferring a (small) mouse wherever possible.I simultaneously rather like the 'auto-startup on raising screen section' feature, and am uncertain about it, long term - over the years i have come across a number of laptops (of various makes) with hinge problems, so adding extra complexity to that subsystem concerns me somewhat. It is one thing if it has been designed such that its failure mode is 'safe' (so that you simply have to open the case and press the on/off switch, should it fail), but otherwise any repair required to get the laptop functional again is likely to be a significant cost, and possibly uneconomic. This is not related specifically to this Lenovo laptop, but as a general comment, the setup of the Chrome OS (which i believe Google supply FOC to hardware manufacturers) seemed to contain a lot of potentially 'intrusive' aspects - I did try (ironically, via Google!) to see if anyone had produced an 'idiot's guide' to each set of impenetrable details/conditions that lurk 'behind' the various screens, but failed. Despite trying to ensure that i wasn't signing over access to every part of my on-line life, i'm not sure if I succeeded - I got the feeling that the mantra 'if you aren't paying for your laptop's OS software, you aren't the customer; you are the product' applied!Overall, my summary is that it is a great little laptop for its price - providing you are OK with the Chrome OS aspect!

great laptop
this laptop has helped both myself, and my partner, as we both have our own laptops from lenovo, which i had both brought at two different times.they are easy to use with google, and to use a google email address, and to get online via the internet, facebook, youtube, and to search on google chrome.

MOST USEFUL
Bought to help granddaughter (9) with her home-based school work. Ideal for Google classroom, the parental controls are reassuring too. It is not 'top of the range' but does what it is intended to do. Easy to set-up and no problems so far after four weeks of active use.
