This is such a clever lantern, ideal for a backpack. It's tiny (95x35mm), lightweight (71g with battery), but really solidly built and puts out a serious amount of light. Three standard levels of white light (level 2 is sufficient for general use) plus flashing signal, and a couple of levels of red plus flashing. Transportation lock means no chance of it being accidentally switched on in the pack. The clip is solid for hanging from a cord (and acts as protection for the on/off switch), and the small height and reasonably wide base keep it stable when free-standing. There's no magnet. Battery life is okay (not best in class) unless the brightest light level is used. The supplied rechargeable battery is a 14500 and it comes with a USB proprietary charging cable, but it will also run on standard or rechargeable AAs if access to power is limited. [Note: if changing out the battery, the base needs to be turned until it clicks to fully close it.] All the functions (light modes, lock) are accessed via the top button, so there is a bit of a learning curve there, but it's pretty intuitive stuff. All round, this is a very well-built, compact, cleverly designed, enjoyable micro-lantern. It isn't cheap, but if you want the functionality without the bulk, this is definitely worth a look.

I use this for walking in the winter. Just attach it to my backpack strap, press the button a couple of times for medium light level and I'm good. The battery life is great and you can just open it up and change the battery if the power runs out. Really powerful for its size and the option for red light is a nice touch.

I use this as a ‘base camp’ lantern for sea fishing and it’s ideal. It’s compact, bright, weighs nothing really and doesn’t take up valuable room in the tackle box. It might be a bit on the small size for some applications but the important thing is the light it pumps out and that I’m sure you won’t be disappointed in.

nicely made and excellent quality from a very well renowned company. the battery lasts a lot longer than anticipated. if you want a further battery as a back up be careful, the battery is a 3.7v volt and slightly longer than the normal AA or a rechargeable and may not fit your present charger if you have one. also if you buy direct from the company it would be nearly just a cheap to buy another complete unit here. i am very satisfied with this product.

This can output a useful range of light intensities from dim red or white (good in your tent to not wash out night vision) to bright enough for table use. The charger is USB A to theirown magnetic clip which is easy and has no water resistance concerns, but to reduce cables USB C would be handy. A balance I guess. Clever product that's small, light and effective.

Lovely little light. Been using for winter evening walks attached to the lead. Just the right amount of light. Have only changed once but didn’t run out completely changed before it did. Has lasted for hours. Very good quality easy to charge. Nice quality clip. Will be taking this camping with us.

As a girl, I was brought up to believe that size matters, and guess what? It doesn't! Honestly though, this lantern may be small but it is mighty and makes all the moths come... On one charge it lasted for 5 nights without letting us down and had much more to offer with much more in its (battery) tank. In all seriousness, this was worth the purchase and I would reccomend this small and feisty little guy to anyone on the hunt for a camping companion.

Spettacolare e ultraportatile. Ho acquistato questa piccola lanterna anche se un pochetto costa ma merita tutto! 70 grammi ed hai un piccolo capolavoro da portare sempre con te! Ha una clip abbastanza robusta per poterla appendere alla tenda, allo zaino o dovunque vuoi tu. Io l'ho già usata due volte in tenda e per qualche camminata notturna e devo dire che è una GENIALATA! LUCE MOLTO BELLA E POTENTE! ha 3 potenze di luce più una che dura una quindicina secondi a tutta potenza(300 lumen), più può diventare rossa con due potenze. Sia rossa che bianca ha la funzione strobo/flash. Si ricarica a molto velocemente e dura tantissimo, in un uscita sono stato due giorni in tenda e ancora la batteria non era arrivata neppure ad un quarto di consumo. La cosa bella che mi ha convinto ad acquistarla è che funziona anche con una batteria AA normalissima. La luce non disturba gli occhi(ci ho studiato tutta una mappa per un paio di ore). Unico neo negativo? Una custodia anche basica ma meglio rigida la potevano includere visto che cq sia non costa pochissimo. Altra cosa bella, anzi, altre due cose belle è il caricabatteria magnetico, che oltre a mettere la stessa in carica con estrema facilità e rapidità, non si rovina mai. L'altra cosa è che dopo che l'hai usata per un bel mezzo rimane leggermente illuminata di verde per il fatto che c'è una specie guarnizione fosforescente, a me è stato utile perché al buio la trovi subito. Il pulsante di accensione è molto piacevole e silenzioso da azionare, sembra di fattura ottima. Ripeto, Per il prezzo che ha una custodia potevano includerla, anche per riporla nello zaino senza io rischio di danneggiamento, ma ho deciso di dare 5 stelline perché è unica e fatta veramente bene.
