Q: Do you have to wear them the whole flight

no just for take off. pop them in about 20mins before and remove during flight , pop back in before you start descent and remove on landing. if you really suffer it will help loads but does not remove the pain completely makes it much more bearable, i also take a sinus tab before landing too about one hour before. found this helps too.

Q: Is this better than the original Earplanes?

I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH EITHER THE ORIGINAL EARPLANES OR THESE.. Although I am not inclined to use them more than once for outgoing flights and return flights.

Q: is it possible to sleep on the flight with these in?

I use them every time I fly, I even sleep with them in a flight as it blocks out noise as well.

Q: Are these suitable for children and adults with small ear canals?

These might be slightly to big, I would get the child ones if they are very young children. Amazing earplugs I suffered no pain. Just remember to insert before they close cabin door and keep them in for at least 30 minutes and the cruising altitude has been reached, insert them again at least 30 minutes before you are due to land. Don't take them out before the cabin door is open but I waited until I reached passport control to take them out.
