Great sound, nice look, quality beginner guitar - (I paid full price)
I am a beginner who chose this guitar based solely on the reviews and comparing/contrasting other similarly priced guitars. This is my first guitar.I purchased this guitar for the full $79.99, and figured potential buyers would want to see a review from a beginner as well.I received the guitar two days ago. The guitar came out of tune (obviously) and it only took a few minutes to tune with free tuning app Guitar Tuna (great app I highly recommend, use on smartphone or tablet.) The guitar came with two picks, an electric tuner, and a carrying case (all nice additional bonuses given the relatively cheap price.) One of the picks is flimsy and one is pretty sturdy which gives a nice variance to any beginner trying to figure out what they like best.Aesthetics (4 Out of 5)I was pretty unsure how I would feel about the matte black type paint job, but in person it is much more pleasing than I had hopes for. There is no shine obviously being a matte paint job but I am very pleased with how it looks. That being said the guitar does have some minor blemishes and spots, but nothing you would notice unless I pointed them out to you.Sound Quality (4 Out of 5)Being a beginner, I have had my friend who has playing guitar for about seven years now teaching me and he picked up this guitar and began playing on it. He said for the price he was very impressed. He said while the guitar was not very expensive and did not possess the shine and higher quality look of more expensive guitars, the sound quality (the most important thing that matters when learning or playing a guitar) was impressive.Overall:Pros- Impressive sound quality- Easy to tune, strings seem fine- Nice look to it- Great beginner guitarCons- Paint work could be a little better but it is understandable given priceAs of now I have no complaints with the guitar. I WILL update this review if this thing happens to fall apart a month down the road, but I do not see that being an issue, it feels well constructed and sounds very nice.****EDIT JULY 2nd 2016******Guitar still in great shape, been playing for a few hours every few days or so. When I have been playing a little stronger and harder the E string buzzes a good amount whether I am playing a chord or not. I have attempted to adjust the action but it seems to be stuck. I do not want to force it for fear of breaking the guitar. I am mildly concerned by this but I think it is something I am doing not the guitar.

Sounds like a Fraggle choking to death...specifically Wembley Fraggle
Garbage. Fret boards were not sanded evenly with the guitar and I literally cut my fingers when I tried to change chords. Yes, it's inexpensive, but it plays like a Fraggle choking to death on one of the Doozer's buildings. Insanely poor quality. I traded up to the Ibanez AW54. Clearly not the most expensive Ibanez, but it's a better starter guitar. If I had kept this piece of nonsense, I would have given up learning to play within a week. I cannot stress this enough. This guitar will make you hate guitars, hate music, hate life, as well as small animals and children. The garbage that was this "instrument" made me question if there is any goodness in mankind, for no person could make something so tragically awful and still, conceivably be a good person.

Buzzed 7 frets. Make sure you check the guitar completely after buying.
I ordered this guitar and its first 7 frets were buzzing. The frets were not even and hence were interfering with the strings (all of the strings). The barre chords after 7th fret were sounding good. Anyways, I returned the guitar.

If only there was a zero-star option
Gears on the g string costed me 100 bucks to fix, not worth the money don't buy this garbage

Getting Started on Acoustic Guitar
The media could not be loaded. This is a good quality acoustic guitar. You're saving money due to the black finish, instead of a polished wood finish. In every other respect, its just like my other acoustic. It arrives strung, and includes a gig bag, and electronic tuner. The sound is pretty good. The intonation seems a bit off, on the lower two strings by about 2%, due to the action being set high. You can adjust for this with your tuning, plus it is easily fixed by having a guitar teacher remove the plastic piece by the bridge, and file it down a hair. I couldn't really tell a problem, playing chord inversions up the neck. I'd order more guitar strings (Medium gauge and light), picks of various stiffness, and maybe an inexpensive guitar stand, when you order this item. If you want to play standing up, get yourself a nice guitar strap too, the tie on kind. There is no strike plate on the guitar to protect the finish. Since it's painted matt black, you can buy guitar decals on this site, for the guitar rosette (around the sound hole), and for on the body of the guitar. This gives you the opportunity to customize your guitar to match your own individual style. Finally, this is a cut away model acoustic guitar. This allows you access to the uppermost frets of the guitar, where most guitar leads are happening. That's an excellent feature for those who want to practice lead guitar on their acoustic.I was provided a free guitar in exchange for the review.
