would this cutter be good for cutting sunflowers bunched in 5's?

Oh yes....... !!! I had mine mounted on to a heavy plastic cutting board for stability. You could also mount it onto a piece of solid wood, but I figured the heavy plastic board would be easy to disinfect. This stem cutter could easily go through a bunch of sunflowers or even thin woody stems. I am counting on it. I will have to figure out how it gets sharpened later!!!

Will this cutter work on 1" to 1.5" dried lavender bundles?

Just got this product last week... we were successful using it on 3" diameter dried lavender bundles no problem. Our bundles included ~150 stems of dried Gros Bleu lavender.

can you buy replacement blades for this cutter?

I think so I haven’t had to do this yet . It’s a pretty nice item. I own a florist I love it 😊
