Junk amd bad seller
The bolt that holds the diagonal brace to the main frame was stipped upon arrival. Bought from SMJ OUTDOORS, unfortunately the seller could not resolve issues because they..........suck. Instead of replacing the item that was received defective they choose to ask me to fix it myself......really? But on the bright side they closed the return account on amazon because "buyer was working directly with manufacturer to resolve problem"........didn't know I was but hey they got my money. On to the stand itself.....junk, very poor quality control. Who sends things out when it has not been inspected for safety? If that brace slips while you're 30 foot up a tree you better have spent the money on a good fall arrest because it will get used. The machining left quiet a bit to be desired as the foot piece is very rough on the back when packing. I got a pad that straps around the tree and just use it for a back cushion when packing. The stand is small, but hey I'm not, I'm 6'2" 240 lbs and it's a chore to climb with this. When trying to sit and climb my knees are against the tree very hard when sitting on the seat bar. The big seat makes it even more cumbersome because on the way up with your climb your knees get buried in that. So I put a hazmore seat on it (really recommend hazmore for any stand, outstanding product) and that will remedy that as you can just push it all forward. The paint is another issue, don't know if it chipped off or rubbed off or was never even there to begin with. On to the traction belts........junk. they are VERY flimsy and it is quiet a struggle to get up a tree with thick bark such as oaks, it will grab the hell out of it and not let go without a wiggle on every pull, but the lone wolf belts will fit these stands and are a bit more stiff and more user friendly. All and all, buy another stand if your serious about hunting and never buy from the seller mentioned above, not even a sharp pencil because if you receive it without the sharp point, they will just ask you to do it yourself.

Sketchy
Very light and compact, gets the job done but does not make you feel secure whatsoever. Sketched out and move daintily the whole time I'm in it. Needs a wider and sharper tooth grip on the foot platform.

Death trap
This broke with me 20 feet in a tree. It's a poor design that nearly killed me. Don't buy this!!!

XOP Ambush NOT Safe!
I know this is a review for the XOP Enforcer, but it is identical to the XOP Ambush (both older and latest models) shown above. I live in Michigan and been hunting for as long as I can remember. I started out with permanent stands but learned to use climbers and was more successful. I've tried many climbers out there: Summit, Timbertall, X-Stand, and few others. I have always wanted a Lone Wolf sit-n-climb but their price scared my away.As I kept searching online, I came across the XOP (Xtreme Outdoor Products), I believed was the same designer(s) for Lone Wolf but left Lone Wolf and manufactured their own climbers. Their climbers looked similar/identical to Lone Wolf's but cost less. I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Ambush from two different websites that used the newer XOP Ambush model that was dipped in camo on their website to lure people in for ordering the older model in plain green. I returned them both because both companies advertised the newer model and shipped me the older model.Anyway, before I shipped them back, I decided to give one of them a try. I took it to the woods and climbed the same tree I climbed every year, it slipped on me several times and scared the heck out of me! Not only it slipped, it easily tipped from side to side, even with the stabilizer straps on both sides. I have to be extremely cautious going up/down. I was all wet from sweating when I reached the same height where I usually climb... That's how scared I was!Trust me, the safest climbers are Summit Vipers! Save your money and save your life and get a Summit.

Dangerous, XOP ignored my inquiry.
The traction belt on the platform stretched and eventually broke. My stand was a week old. I attempted to contact XOP and inform the of my issue. I was only 12 ft, so no injuries. They ignored my call and emails. You have to wonder about a manufacturer who doesn't want to know about a faulty product that could potentially lead to someone's death. They are a cheap spin off of lone wolf. I would only recommend their products to someone I really disliked.

Bang for your buck and easy climber
Great climber at half the cost of a lone wolf. Same features as the lone wolf. I’ve had this climber for 3 years and I’ve carried and climbed all sorts of trees and it has yet to let me down. Light weight at 20lbs and very compact even with my bag. Set up and take down is simple. The only thing I didn’t like was the bungee cord hook was too weak to hold thighs down, but they offer a new one on their site and my plastic buckles came broken in the packaging, but I replaced them easily. Also the paint chips a little easily but it’s all cosmetic and I don’t think the deer really care lol. Overall great investment.

Best Stands on the Market!
XOP Climbing Treestands are great for packing long distances, not bulking nor do they get caught on half the branches you pass around/under. Folds almost flat for easy transport in and out of the woods with a backpack. As far as the tree straps malfuntioning as mentioned by others, I have had my set for two years with no issues and I use the stands at least 40/50 times per season. Super safe, no noise when mounting and climbing the tree. I have owned many other top name manufacture treestands but have passed those on to other family members and friends as this is the only stand I use. I purchased my original XOP Punisher two years ago and have zero complaints or issues to date. I have just recently purchased my second XOP STAND the Enforcer this time and I know that these stands far exceed their cost. I am glad they are now offering replacement parts on their website as I plan on using these stands for years to come. If you are looking for a new climbing stand I would not pass this one up, you will not regret the purchase, I sure know I haven't.Mike Dinges
