I liked there was some room for adjustment on the height. I used the adhesive to hold in place and screwed the sweep to the door. I liked that it is firm enough to keep insects out, but not so firm as to cause issues opening and closing the door. We used it for the basement door with no threshold.

The sweep that came with door has been replaced twice. This piece was easy to trim and install. Good seal. Had to drill a couple of small holes because the pre-drilled holes didn't line up.

It does it’s job well, and I am sure will keep out mice. But because the metal comes close to the floor and the rubber section is small to keep out said mice it requires a very plumb door and flat floor, I had neither in a 40 year old house so I could et adjust it low enough to seal well and not jam against the floor, I had to use another more flexible sweep because of this. If I had replaced the door and had everything plumb this is the sweep I would use, but if you are adding to an old door in an old house get a more flexible sweep.

Used this to seal the gap beneath the basement door to the garage. Helps keep out critters. Seems to work well and hasn't fallen off. Makes the door harder to open though.
