Really happy with this purchase.I searched around a lot and thought, before spending £50-100 on another kit, I'd give this little one a try because I liked the colours and the price. Super happy I did. BARGAIN! Comes in a nice little box with everything you need.It's the first time I have done gel nails at home, and following the instructions it has worked perfectly. No tackiness. Just be sure to do thin layers and also note you need a plug to put the USB into for the lamp (it does specify not to plug into a computer as it won't have enough power). Not a problem for me. Hopefully they will last a good amount of time!Will be purchasing some other Beetles gel colour sets very soon!Update 26/06/20: Had the gel on 10days, all good, ordered new colour set, cant wait for them to come!

Am not going to lie but o only bought this for the colours in the set... but i was surprised that the lamp is just as good as my full size one... this is my favourite brand of gel polish it sets perfect and i have found the wear you get is perfect no chipping or turning dull

I really like these polishes! I’ve bought 2 different colour sets (planning on getting more!), as well as the gloss, matte and base coat and they all work beautifully. I’m a beginner at gel polish (though used to use regular polish a lot), but bought a lamp to try it out, and at the price of these sets, I’m really impressed. The colours are lovely, they build up well and they last! I had mine on for 2 weeks and had no chipping. I only took it off to change the colour. I’ve read some other reviews which said they didn’t last, but I followed the instructions, prepped the nails, use base coat, built the colour up in 2 thin coats and used a top coat and they last really well. The gloss and matte coats are brilliant too. Soaking them off with a good gel remover is really easy. I was nervous that my nails would be ruined but the polish scrapes off easily and just need a light buff afterwards to smooth the nail again. I’m really impressed by these and seen some negative reviews so I’m not quite sure if others happened to get a dud batch, but mine have been great and I’d highly recommend!

Feeling like I needed a pamper during lockdown, I bought this starter set after reading fairly mixed, but overall positive, reviews. I chose it because it was the cheapest (this was a whim experiment after all), was within the Beetles range which came highly recommended, and I preferred the colours that came with it. Two manicures in, and I'm impressed - I got salon-level results at home - better even, because I can take my time and let my inner perfectionist roll! I followed the instructions, and have perfect nails - no bubbling or shrinking at all. Only the top and base coats have a scent - the colours are basically odourless. The gel is fairly thick, but it's possible to get thin layers with a bit of practice and I found the coverage surprisingly good - two coats is plenty for a solid colour. The cure time is perfect with the 90 sec on the lamp - the base and colour coats have a sticky layer so don't touch them until after you've completely finished the manicure, top coat and all (at that point I wash my hands before applying the cuticle oil and my favourite moisturiser). The tools provided are also great. I shall be buying more colours from the range. Ignore the negative reviews - I think it's down to user error - if you're willing to practice and watch some YouTube vids, it's well worth the minimal investment!

It's nice colors, but if you apply straight to your builder gel, it won't dry even.After the gel, You need to sand it and then cober with the color pf your preference.The color of the medium nude match with the lighter one one the photo. What is beautiful, but not the same at the photo.Don't forget to apply the top coat and cure at UV light.Overwall it's nice, as I did it yesterday I'm not sure how long it will last.If it is your first time, I recommend you to take time and make one nail each time to each process.If you don't have the brush to apply the gel you can use the one it cames with. But wipe the excess each time you use it and be careful to not contaminat your gel with dust from the nails or anything else.

I’ve done my nails yesterday, and in less than 2 hours everything was peeling off! I would have given it less than one star if I could. I would like to mention that this is not the first time using gel, I’ve done my own nails for years now and used different products but never came across a UV lamp gel that comes off faster than a nail polish. It does look good and the colours are very lively but to what good when it doesn’t last even for a day?!

I am absolutely in love with these colours. There are so many variety’s of warm and cool and something for everyone in this set wether you want to stand out or be more subtle . They are also much easier to apply than others I’ve bought from beetles I find that the more pastel colours can be difficult to apply in the fact that they can sometimes come out a little transparent but these are perfect 😍 The best method is to apply very thin layers and lots of them. Always doing my toes and nails, these apply beautifully over acrylic but I find can be a little temperamental over natural nails if you do lots of labouring work with your hands e.g. washing, DIY. Overall so happy with these I’m so glad I bought this set especially because the colours are beautiful.
