It is spoken of as a boy's or girl's knife. Maybe that is why some edges have not been sharpened. What I did to make the knife truly usable was to use my bench grinder to put an edge on the awl, a point on the "needle", and turn the fish scaler into a serrated blade. I also honed the nail file end so it was better able to dig under dirty fingernails, and ground down the screwdriver blade to make a better fit in slotted screws. The scissors could be better but I didn't mess with them. Now we'll see how it holds up to the legendary Swill Army knife!

Well made with good snap out and snap in blades and instruments. As good as a Swiss knife. The only issue is the bulb that must be turned loose to turn it off and then tighten to turn it on. Also, there were no instructions about this so a search had to be conducted to figure it out. The pouch holder was also nice and a good inclusion to protect and carry it.

I got this for my son. It is a bit hard to pull some of the tools out, but I guess that's how it is supposed to be...the knives and saw aren't going to accidentally come out, ever, but he might hurt himself trying to pull something out. Would be good for older kids and adults

I purchased the Valtev pocket knife in October of 2013 from Amazon. It appears to be a great knife but one of the side panel screws has back off and cannot be reseated. This has me wondering if this knife will hold up.Update: I have since written to Valtev about the problem and have not received any feedback.

I am on a limited income. I raised both children a single parent, yet I worked doubles if I had to,or two full time jobs to get there Christmas when they were younger up in to teenage years.Now they are adults but mom is still on a fixed income. My son loves knives of any kind. I saw this and ordered it. What sold me is the flashlight that is attached and it is bright. And my son says he loves it. I bought this some time ago and thought it was a wonderful little bundle of tools to keep in my laptop backpack. Since then, I've used this a total of maybe 8-10 times (mainly the screwdriver and scissors.) Initially, the flashlight stopped folding into its slot and now one of the screws fell off. I've used this thing very lightly and have not applied any sort of great pressure to have caused this. Nor did I toss it around in any way. It just turned out to be a piece of junk. Maybe I have a defective one, but it's very disappointing to have it go bad like this. Since I bought this so long ago, I can't even return it.

The device is robust and very compact. A handy tool especially for camping and hiking and indoors as well. All tools are working and knives are sharp enough and protected with the strong body. Whole device fits well in the small pouch provided along with the product. The LED is not bright at all but I am hoping if I change the batteries it works well too.

I am extremely pleased with the 13 multi-tool, I carry it with me and use it often throughout the day on often a daily basis.However, two suggestions that I have to modify the design to make the multi-tool even better:1) Switch around the bottle cap opener, and the can opener; when the bottle cap opener is extended, the keychain loop interferes with getting a truly solid grip; however, the can opener blade is just enough longer that it wouldn't interfere.
