Love all of the albums for different reasons. Nice to be able to grab all of these for the price.

People have varying opinions on "box sets" like this. Some believe that this is an unacceptable compromise which sacrifices to much of the original packaging. Others believe that as long as you get the absolutely same disc as as the original, that the "boxed" packaging of just disc in a simple cardboard slip-cover is good enough. I am usually of the 2nd opinion in general, BUT for this one I'm totally and utterly satisfied with my choice box set, and the "swing vote" is the $44.97 selling price for 10 full Dream Theater albums, including one double album, for a total of 11 discs. That's just a hair over $4 per disc for a bunch of great music on great recordings. ***I only had 4 live DVDs of DT when I started to research the studio albums, and I am so glad I found this one!

The media could not be loaded. I liked this packaging, i still need to add the other new albums to this..As you can see from the video, everything comes in one box and it's really good to keep it in the car.

Having been a DT fan since 1989, I have had plenty of time to scuff up my original CD's. Several of which are no longer playable. I think it comes from the car stereo dragging the CD in and out, but there are a lot of light scratches on most of them.Although, I have ripped all of them into MP3 format, I am not a huge fan of MP3s. It is nice to be able to carry around all of that music on my phone, but I can always hear that digital "wobble" or whatever it is called in the MP3s. I like to listen to the uncompressed CD in car or at home.So, this seemed a good opportunity to replace the library without breaking the bank. It is true that these are in just cardboard sleeves and the CDs themselves lose the graphics printed on them. However, that to me is pointless as once they are in the player, I could care less what it looks like.The only things missing from this box set is the latest self titled CD, When Dream and Day Unite, and Change of Seasons. I realize Change of Seasons was an EP, but it was good enough that is should be considered a full release all by itself and I think it is an essential CD for any DT collection.

This is a really great collection. All CD's are packaged in a little thin sleeve with all the artwork that sits inside the box.
