Ivory African Shea Butter Premium Pure Raw 8 oz Premium NON GMO

This stuff has all apearances, features, and effects of high quality shea butter. It smelled very fresh upon arrival and still does a few months later. It isn't grainy in the slightest, and softens easily with just the warmth from one's hands. Shea butter isn't supposed to be soft at room temperature, so yes, this is a good thing despite reviews decrying the fact it was "hard" when it arrived. If your only experience is with creams, lotions, or other products that "contain shea butter", then I suppose the fact that this isn't of a consistency that can pass through a hand-pump might be surprising. However, considering that real shea will actually moisturize your skin, reduce wrinkles, and heal burns and rashes--unlike the industrially produced, over-perfumed junk most people slather on, which actually dries the skin--I find the slightly less convenient consistency to be well worth it.

The product is just what I wanted. I use it for my nails as they get very dry and cracking. It arrived safely and intact thank goodness. It was packed in a padded envelop with a book I had ordered at the same time. Oh my, goodness, I could not believe it came in a padded envelop. During shipping, the Shea butter plastic container had gotten destroyed and cracked open. I should have taken a picture but.... everything was okay-- it's all good. I melted the Shea butter and put it into a jar. No Shea butter got onto the book. Amazon packaging for shipping should be done more carefully. I will order this Shea butter again.

Love this product. Very moisturizing and one application is effective for days. I apply it while in the tub, yes, wet. Works great on feet and crepe-y skin. Needs to be worked into skin until completely absorbed or skin will be greasy.

This product is hard and flakey, and melts to a nice thick oil feeling with body heat and friction. I use it on my legs and it leaves a protective, almost waxy feeling to them that I really like. The coating provides a small measure of water resistance, so I find my legs and feet are still moisturized even after swimming and playing in the sun, and there's nothing quite as softening as some shea butter after a shower. The smell is pleasant and nutty, and I find it overall an agreeable product.

Ss described...easy to spread when rubbed in palms with olive oil. Skin is soft, supple and warm after application. Alhamdulillah...this works beautifully with dry sensitive skin, 100x better than those silly overpriced creams in department stores. I add a shiny amount to my face before bed and upon awaking skin looks soft and glowy.

Product arrived on time. This product is very hard in texture. If you do use I suggest you melt in a double boiler of hot water and then mix with your other lotions. Smells like authentic Shea.
