Meike MK-A7R IV PRO Professional grip
This is a very nice quality camera grip. Doesn’t feel cheap, and it compliments my Sony A7R4 well. Got a great deal on Black Friday at 1/4 the cost comparing to the Sony grip. Highly recommend it.

Hey, it works!
For the money, this cannot be matched. the price of the Sony grip is...obscene. The grip seems well made and even matches the texture feel of my Sony A7RIV. The only difference is the switch that powers off the unit. It's not a lockout function like the Sony...but so what. When you start...you turn it on. When you are done shooting...you turn it off. I can't think of any reason to spend more on the Sony version. I love this thing!

Dead on Arrival
I've owned another one of the Meike battery grips for an earlier version of the Sony Alpha 7 camera. It was considerably cheaper feeling than the Sony version, but workable. Batteries were a bit loose-fit but worked OK, so I gave this one a try for the A7R IV. It was dead on arrival -- verified fully charged batteries that work in the camera body, and tried many combinations of the 6 charged batteries that I have, nothing worked to get the battery grip to supply power to the camera. Aside from not working, this version of the Meike feels quite a bit less sturdy/quality than even the Meike that I was using for the earlier Sony A7 camera. The on/off switch seems *really* flimsy and almost a bit loose. The option buttons feel quite cheap, and the navigation joystick is also cheap feeling, and seems a bit like it is mounted a bit off-center. The battery sockets were also fairly loose. Overall, I'd say avoid, if you can get a working version. I'm personally not opposed to using a cheaper feeling alternative for this kind of functionality, but the quality seems much lower than it was in the past for very similar equipment by the same company.

Does Not Work With The A7IV
If this did work with my camera, I'm sure I would have loved it. The build quality is pretty close to Sony's. Every time I tried to use this, it gave me an incompatibility battery error and I couldn't use even get into the menu system. After I went to Meike's website, I noticed it didn't list the A7IV.

Changing my review
I just purchased an A7Rv and I plugged it in and it works great. The A7IV and A7Rv have the exact same body size. ALTHOUGH what you see on the video recently happened to my A7RV camera. After to removed it, it stopped doing that. I don’t know if it’s a power issue bc the batteries are in the grip. But it happened to my A7IV a few months ago. I had to go get it sent in to see why it was doing that.

Works perfectly with A7rIV
I see no reason to buy OEM in this case. The grip works perfectly with the A7rIV and costs hundreds less. The remote works fine as well. I do not removing the battery door of my camera to install it, but that is the case with the OEM grip so that is not a negative for this product.

Best Sony camera battery grip!
I was a little concerned about ordering an off-brand battery grip for my A7R4. The Meike MK-A7R IV PRO Professional Battery Grip changed all of that. I haven't used it out in the field yet. I can't wait. The feel, fit and finish get an A-plus! I have a couple's shoot in a week. I will update my review from the field.

Works good
I have used this brand grip on my Sony A7iii for 3 1/2yrs. So it was a no brainer. So I bought the same brand for my new Sony A7iv. Works good and much cheaper in price to the Sony grip.

Makes camera crash, stops video recording.
Unreliable makes camera crash, stops video recording mid recording or phantom presses buttons. Very unreliable.

Igual (o mejor) que el original
TODO...los controles y botones están hechos de plástico de muy buena calidad y no añade demasiado peso El mando a distancia no es infrarrojo y no es necesario estar muy cerca de la cámara para accionarla

Macht, was es soll.
