NOVA Universal Knee Scooter Platform Cover, Fleece Faux Sheepskin Cover, Easy to Fit and Washable

I had a foot surgery about 7 months ago and after 3 months of scootering around, I noticed that the seat of it was getting worn down. Once I was back on my feet, I didn't think about a cover. Suddenly, as I was staring down another surgery I considered a lot of comfort options. So I bought this cover in beige (because we have golden retrievers) and it's holding up very well. My knees are well-cushioned and I am not smashing my shin onto the end of the seat like before. If you will be off you feet for more than a month, just buy it. Putting the pad on the seat is easy. and it fit well. I don't ever notice it sliding. The only difference with time has been that the sheep fluff don't need to be re-fluffed a bit with your hand. I'm sure it would be fixed with a quick wash. I have just been scrubbing little circles with my fingers on the spot where my knee most frequently rests. I also ordered the Vive sheepskin crutchpads, which were difficult to put on in comparison. This pad goes on without frustration. Altogether, I'm staying semi-mobile and comfortable because of these products.

I just had my 4th foot surgery and have to use my knee scooter for 12wks. I have had a knee replacement so the scooter has a lot of wear on my knee. I’ve tried 5 different seat covers and this one by far is the most comfortable. If you have had a knee replacement stay away form the thick foam ones because they cause a lot more instability for your knee and the extra padding doesn’t really help.

I waited to do this review because I wanted to see how it held up. First, it's well made. Doesn't tear easily and I'm pretty active on my scooter. The problem is, the material used (faux sheep), is brutal on the skin. It's really rough feeling. It's fine if you wear long pants, but I'm usually in shorts because the cast doesn't work with jeans. I'm now on the hunt for a new cover because I'm non weight bearing for another month or so and I can't keep using this.

I have a brand NOVA knee roller scooter. When I got my cast, my scooter became more uncomfortable and the cast was abrasive on the seat. The scooter is a retail for 8 weeks+ and I didn't want to damage the seat. I read a lot of reviews about a lot of different covers. I wanted to cover that fit snugly and well. I decided to go with the Nova cover even though the reviews said it didn't have as much padding as some of the others. It is true it doesn't have a ton of padding but it has just enough to make it more comfortable than the basic rubberized pad. When I sit outside in the sun the rubberized pad isn't blistering hot when I get on it. The cover is very tight and snug and secure. I turned it inside out and set it upside down and then folded each corner onto the seat. This pad is not going anywhere. I feel secure on it and it is not going to slide around. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Very comfortable, holds securely to the existing cushion on my knee scooter, but already thinking of replacing after about 6 weeks’ use as it is noticeably less cushioning. I weigh a little under 180 lbs, for reference.

I bought a “cushion” before surgery and it was too tall, and too hard. I didn’t bother looking again, as I naively thought “oh, it will be comfy enough…” Was I ever wrong. My knee hurt so badly, I thought I’d cry every time I had to go to the bathroom. If you are having to use a scooter, get something soft and cushy, like this product. I ordered this one, and it’s not too high, just soft enough, and my knees thanked me immediately. I’m still a bit sore from the week that I had to use the scooter, but that’s just my bad for not purchasing this earlier. I couldn’t get the other taller gel cushions, as I’m on the lowest position already. I’m using an older scooter that a friend gave me. I think a bit more gel might have been nice…but I am happy with this!
