Chestnut Puree Unsweetened 31oz

Just mix in a teaspoon of agave syrup, and voila!

This is delicious. I spread it on crepes and it was like being in Paris eating a crepe.

I use this to make cookies. I enjoy this product.

The can of chestnut puree has multiple dents on top, bottom and sides of can. It is unusable and unsafe. The packaging is fine so damage did not occur during shipping. Forced to post one star--deserving of none.

You do need to handle it before use - add some syrup to boost flavor and thin it out, and then strain. My only complaint is that it's a bit pricey. It s a big can but goes quickly.

I used this to make Mont Blanc. Boil 2cups of water, 1cup of sugar and 1 vanilla bean scrapped and cut until it reduces to 3/4 cup. Beat the chestnut purée until it’s smooth. Slowly add the cooled water and whip in 4tbsp soft butter. Pass through a sieve. It had wonderful flavor and texture, smooth, sweet but not saccharine, intense chestnut taste. Perfect.

We use it for chestnut cookies for Christmas. Great flavor! I definitely recommend it!
