Works perfectly on a Mac M2 Silicon but use driver from the app store
Vendor instructions not good and didn't mention a driver on the App store which 100% solves a dev/tty visibility problem. With the vendor driver only, device shows in the Mac's System Information as a USB Serial Controller but not as a terminal device under /dev/tty* .Install the driver from the App Store to make it shows up as a serial device,e.g. /dev/tty.PL2303G-USBtoUART830Then you can use CoolTerm (for example) and connect to your console device.

Good product with one small problem
The cable works as expected but it has a flashing LED on the PC end of the cable. While this is useful it does make the end of the cable chunky and wide. This makes it impossible to connect other USB cables next to it so if you need to see activity on a switch and a router at the same time with the console port you may be limiting your options

It worked
As part of a a SOGEA upgrade for a customer, a new Cisco router was ordered to replace the existing one. The router was configured and delivered but had been configured with an incorrect password. Support asked me to connect the data cable to a USB port of a PC on the current network and then connected via teamviewer and corrected the config / password. There was no installation required other than plugging it into a Windows 10 Pro PC. For £16.98 it was worth every penny, considering the time saved by service provider who was not physically close to the site. My own time spent was minimal.

Works but difficult to get drivers
It's rather hard to get the drivers for this product. Though, once you have them, the cable works as expected. Not quite as "plug and play" as the Cisco Serial to RJ45.

Great Console Cable
Plugged the device in and it was recognised as 'uplcom0 at uhub4 port 3 configuration 1 interface 0 "Prolific Technology Inc. USB-Serial Controller" rev 2.00/3.00 addr 8' and I successfully logged into my router. A good features it TX/RX LEDs in the USB - which show the traffic.
