Working well for my senior dog
Purchased these in hopes of preserving the vision my elderly dog still has left. He has cataracts in both eyes and was starting to bump into things. He definitely has a better quality of life since starting these drops. I feel he can see better, as he now wants to play more and bumps into things much less frequently!

Worth a try
I rescued a senior with diabetes whose owner passed away. I noticed he has growing cataracts in both eyes. Prior experience taught me this quickly leads to blindness. I started using these a month ago hoping to at the very least stop the growth. I think it’s working. His eyes are looking a tad brighter. The cloudy opaque circle looks less so. I know I have to keep using it or the cataracts will quickly lead to him going blind. These drops are not cheap but I’m going to do it because he’s the sweetest dog ever, loves to play fetch, 10 yrs…so has a lot of years left, tolerates my 5 crazy cats & is trying so hard to be friends with my other dog who’s been an only dog for 4 years.UPDATE: It’s now 9 months and my dog’s cataracts are the same. The ophthalmologist told me 7 mths ago there’s nothing that would help other than surgery, but I’m telling you these drops stymied the growth of his cataracts. The only caveat is: You **have** to use it 2/day. My only issue is he shakes his head & other reviewers said they held their dog, etc. He’s a big dog so that was out. My method to prevent the head shake is: I cook bones for him. Use the drops & immediately give him a bone. He chews on it & by the time he’s done, he no longer feels the need for a head shake. However: I am getting ready to cough up the $5k to remove his cataracts before he gets too old where surgery is risky.

How to get drops out, Benzyl Alcohol, To burn or not to burn: Too soon to give 5 star review
Using this for myself, not a pet. It's far too soon to give it a 5 star review, but I want to address 3 things and don't want to give them a bad review until I know for sure:1. To get the drops out, on this page somewhere they advise holding the bottle upside down for 20 seconds. Sometimes it takes that long and sometimes when I hold it upside down the drop immediately starts coming out. So be patient. Yes, it's too tough to squeeze, I rarely squeeze it out. I just let the drop come down.2. I was concerned about the ingredient "Benzyl Alcohol" so I looked it up and found an article: Topical benzyl alcohol reduces cataract surgery need: two long-term double blind studies. This article said:"significantly lower percentage of eyes requiring surgery after 22 months treatment with BA than with placebo and Catalin."3. It did really burn the first time I took them and I thought I was going to die. Maybe something settled in the dropper area, who knows. But after the first time, I haven't had any problems. Shake it up well, and drop 2 drops out before using it is my advice. My cataracts are not bad enough to have surgery, but not good enough to see clearly. I was told to come back in a year. I called my doctor about taking this medication, and she said that nothing will work. Nothing. But I'm going to try it anyway and see if there is any improvement next year.

If it helps with our Yorkies cataracts we will be very happy.
This was ordered to help with the cataracts our Yorkie has, it's hard to tell if it works. We are on the 2 order.

After two months...
Ive used these drops for 2 months. I am almost out of both bottles and will be purchasing more. I feel like it has helped a little. My vision seems clearer and my eyes seem healthy, but the jury is out as to whether or not this item works for cateracts. It would probably be a long term solution to the problem if it works. I will update this review in another two months.

Bottle / Dropper makes these expensive drops wasteful. difficult to use.
A poor choice for the container / applicator. The small size of the bottle is difficult to hold and align with my eyes. Then the stiff construction of the bottle makes it nearly impossible to squeeze so by the time I can squeeze a drop out my hand has moved and the drop is wasted on my cheek. With the high cost of the eye drops it is very frustrating. So far once I can get a drop in each eye I feel more relief than the OTC products I was using before and I would have given a 5 star rating. But the expense of the product, poor design of the bottle and wasteful means of getting a drop into my eyes makes this great eye drop solution get a lower rating. I see other people have given this product a low rating because of the bottle so I hope the company is paying attention and will find a better bottle / applicator.
