I was looking for a budget-friendly alternative to expensive Santa Maria grills, and this exceeded my expectations. The material and construction are very solid and actually exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and durability. It was very easy to assemble, and it fits perfectly in my 22" Weber kettle. It works great for Argentinian-style barbecue over an open fire, and the adjustable grate makes it easy to manage the heat for optimal cooking. A great value for anyone wanting the Santa Maria grilling experience without the high price.

This Santa Maria grill attachment for my Weber Kettle was exactly what I was looking for. I'd been meaning to get one for awhile but other models on Amazon had mixed reviews. This Ash and Ember model seemed to be a higher build quality and when Amazon provided a 20% off coupon I decided to finally give it a try. I'm glad I did. The Build Quality is indeed top notch and the assembly was super easy (15 minutes at most). When you place the attachment on the weber kettle it fits perfectly and although I was worried it might be 'top heavy' that was not the case - it's stable. Raise your cooking to the next level - literally! I love the flavors produced by the Weber Kettle but the ability to raise and lower the grates was always problematic. Not anymore. This attachment allows me so much freedom to move the grate up or down WITH EASE. The hand wheel and lever are super simple and as an added bonus you can ADD MORE FUEL (charcoal, wood, etc) so easily now - just crank up the grate and add in what you need. I've always wanted to cook a Santa Maria style Tri-Tip and similar style sear/smoke/cook cuts and now I finally can. My very first cook exceeded my expectations and I've been off and running ever since. Trust me - I provide honest reviews from a real person who paid my own money to buy this. You do the same and you'll b glad you did.

This fits perfectly on my Weber BBQ grill. Easy to assemble. Great product and allows me to cook perfectly every time.

Have not used it yet..but assembly is decent.. Seems ok quality for the price.. One gripe..it is painted.. Grill grates should not be painted.. I will see...it seems to go up and down..now for the fire and cook test

PROS: Very well made, much better than others I have seen. Built like a tank, you couldn't break it if you tried. Extremely simple but sturdy crank/ratchet mechanism that should last forever. Durable coating (similar to and perhaps exactly a parkerized finish) to ward off any rust issues. CONS: Mine came with no instructions, which was not a problem at all. It is obvious how this goes together. One really small but frustrating issue was the wood handle was not drilled through with a large enough hole. Whoever put it together had to have pounded the wood handle on, and as a result A) it did not turn when using the crank and B) it was incredibly difficult to remove so I could enlarge the hole. Now there may be others out there with the same issue and the owners have no idea nor care because it is a small detail, but it sure works a whole lot nicer when the wood handle can spin freely on it's axle. It was clearly meant to spin, considering the washer and large nyloc nut provided. ASSEMBLY TIPS: push the two upright legs out as far as possible from each other before you tighten them down to the base, otherwise the grate will bind up. If you are assembling this yourself, sit on the ground and push the base away with your feet while you pull toward you on the leg and then tighten it down. You don't even need a screwdriver to tighten up those legs, the counter sink holes and finish of the product really grab hold of those screws so all you need to do is use a wrench to tighten down the nuts. If you know this going in, it will be easier to assemble because you don't really need to elevate the product to get a screwdriver onto those screws from underneath, and you won't need a third hand while you are pulling on the leg with one hand and tightening the nuts down with the other. And do not assemble it with the base upside down as shown in the Amazon product photo!

This is just amazing! Great quality and love grilling with it! Definitely worth the price, can’t go wrong with this product.
