Great sounding ocarina plays very well. The hand that holds the ocarina though does not work that well if you touch it or anything around it even the smallest bit the ocarina worried that it’s gonna break. I stopped using it other than that. This is a very goodbye for a Zelda fan goes great with my wall of Zelda stuff. Great size for kids and adults really good price would’ve been four stars if hand wasn’t able to be used, but I put link on it and it sold me for a five star.

Got one for my son because he is a huge Zelda fan and he had been bugging me for one for a long time. Well, I decided to get him this one for Christmas and kinda expected it to be a gimmick and something that wouldn't work well if at all. Whoa! Was I ever wrong!!! Turns out the thing play kinda like a recorder and does in fact work. Not only does it work, it actually sounds really good. When I was young I remember playing recorder in school and this instrument reminds me of that but just in a different layout. Also, the sounds from recorders always seemed kinda pitchy and harsh, and you had to blow softer to get the low notes to sound right and it was difficult for people to learn how to get the air flow just right for some of those notes. With this instrument it is easy to get all the notes to sound great and the sound of the notes overall is more soothing and not harsh sounding. My son tried the recorder and hated it, but he loves using this and I hear him outside playing tunes he made up on it all the time. Just one word of caution about this though... It is made of ceramics so it will break if it is dropped. Just be careful with it and treat it like you would a more expensive instrument and you'll love it and it will last a long time!

The ocarina itself is great, but the stand is beyond useless. Either the ocarina slides off, or the stand tips over. There are a bunch of pictures of the ocarina on the stand on the product page, but trying to place it in that same configuration resulted in the stand tipping over. so if you buy this, don't expect to use the stand.

I've wanted to pick up a new instrument for a while and after reading so many reviews was hopeful this would be my next one. Everything in the packaging came in good condition and the hand and ocarina look great. The booklet had easy to follow pictures for playing songs and it came with everything you would need as a beginner. Unfortunately I must have received an ocarina that was not properly tuned. The lower notes sound great and I can produce a good sound, but the higher notes, less fingers, were more shrill and whistling when I tried to play them. I made sure I wasn't making a user error by checking I had the few holes covered fully covered and holding it properly and it was still producing a child blowing into a recorder kind of sound. I'm honestly heartbroken I can't play it, but decided to keep it as decoration. Hopefully I'll have better luck with a different ocarina and maker. Update: The vendors reached out to me after reading my review and offered a refund to fix the issue seeing as I wasn't going to be playing it. I thought it was amazing that they contacting me without my prompting to not only fix the issue, but to ask for feedback to improve the product! Although mine will be decorative, it was not a financial loss, 3 stars to 5.

It’s good quality has a nice book and a holder and the sound quality is much better on this one

Sounds off and tastes weird when you play it. It looks nice at least.

This product sits well on my shelf, and is a really cool to look at and nod towards Zelda. I have tried to play it a few times and it does sound like what to expect but nothing as easy or cool as the games. Personally, it suits better as a nice gift to someone who enjoys the games and more for building a nice gaming set up than an instrument.
