Excellent, noticeable, immediate results at a great price.
Excellent, noticeable, immediate results. I have used internally and externally. I am including a page link with loads of information and usage tips; the primary thing I've learned I've seen others struggling with on here is how to mix. This site states active mixing will only create clumps, whether using internally or externally. The preparation requires minimal work, just foresight to have it ready in advance. An excerpt: "Preparing powdered bentonite for external use is not difficult, but may require some patience. On average, the amount of water required to properly hydrate bentonite will be from four to five times the amount of clay, by volume. For every one cup of bentonite, at least four cups of water will be required to fully hydrate the clay to produce a magma that can be considered colloidal. While there is not one single method to prepare clay, our experience suggests the following method: 1. Add the powdered clay to the container, layering it not more than three inches thick. If one is making more clay, add about 4 times the water to the container at this point, then add another "layer" of powdered clay, again, not more than three inches deep. This process can be repeated. 2. If the layering method is not used, then once the powdered clay is in the container, the water is then added. 3. It takes time for the clay to hydrate. If one finds that the powdered clay is not adsorbing water, then one may gently create small holes from the top to the bottom of the container, which will allow the water to penetrate to the bottom of the container. 4. Mixing the clay is not recommended. If neccessary, one can "turn" the clay by taking the clay that is on the bottom of the container and moving it to the top. 5. Complete hydration can take from 48 hours to five days, depending on the clay and the amount of clay being made. The end product should be a gel substance without clumping. The more one interferes in the process, the greater the chance of clumping. When placed in a container, one should be able to feel a "bounce" to the clay, by holding the container in one hand and tapping it with the other. If the clay is not hydrated enough, it is easy to add small amounts of water. We recommend creating medium sized holes ( if a large container is used to make the clay ) that penetrate to the bottom of the container, and slowly adding water so that the water fills from the bottom of the container up. No mixing is required. Simply allow the clay to set and expand. Apply caution when handling processed powdered clay. One should avoid breathing in the fine powder." [...]

The real thing!
Wow! This is the real thing. I did a facial mask & it was amazing how strongly it pulled & cleaned my skin. It looks, smells, feels so very smooth & soft & pure clean. I soaked some in water overnight to drink the resulting water for an internal cleanse & it tasted so earthy but clean and I wanted to just eat more, but we can't do that! By my senses reaction to it, that tells me it's loaded with minerals & is in fact food grade as stated. I like the source, from USA! My dose for internal cleanse did not give cramps or problems as some other clays do. The facial did sting & felt prickly uncomfortable, but I figured it's drawing out chemtrail deposits, chemicals, funguses (only God knows what anymore is on or in us, right?), so I left it on for whole hour then showered. I had a psoriasis rash on neck & shoulders stress related (so doctors say) and this clay pulled so much, I could see the bumps & redness increased. I then applied Bragg's ACV mixed with Witch Hazel to complete the cleansing, healing effect & after next 24 hours the rash had begun to calm down a whole lot, so I'll do the mask regularly to clean & heal my skin. This review is too long, I know, I just wanted to share with others personal nitty gritty about product. I highly recommend & I will continue to buy from this particular seller. Like the lidded container (re-useable) it came in & order arrived fast w/out a glitch. I think Wyoclay is on the up & up, btw, no deceptions noted.

Great product, I was skeptical until I used some
This stuff is great for holistic medicine. I use it for detox and deodorizing armpits, strangely. Someone tried it out and it worked, so they gave the recipe and let people know there's a way to make deodorant less of a necessity. Diet helps, too. 1 tbs bentonite clay 1 tsp apple cider vinegar drip in water to get a paste consistency Rub that in your pits, let sit for 15 mins or as long as you can tolerate it, rinse off, and enjoy being odor-free for a LONG while. As you do this every day, the smelly pits fade. This does not work completely for some people and you may need to try a deodorant made from lavender, peppermint, and tea tree oils highly diluted in arrowroot powder or corn starch. If this combination hurts or irritates your skin, wash it out immediately. You can try the clay alone but the effects won't be as good. This is a great cure for pits that are sensitive to sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) because it re-balances your PH which should be acidic, not alkali. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to try holistic therapies. Also makes a wonderful face mask.

Perfect for external detox
This particular clay is a fine powder, but still a little gritty if you're taking it internally. Calcium clays are better for internal consumption than Sodium clays but you can ingest both types. Sodium clays just have high levels of salt which will increase your blood pressure, if you don't drink enough water. Overall a great product for external cleanses. This is a Sodium based clay, perfect for facial cleanses, foot soaks, armpit detox, hair wash, toothpaste, etc...

Good for bathing
So far I have had a couple baths/scalp masks with this and it seems pretty competitive with pricier brands I've tried. I'd been without clay awhile so forgot how much it expands! So to the rookies: the day before you want to use it, take a glass jar and fill it an eighth to a quarter full of clay, then top it up to a bit over halfway with water. Put on the lid and shake it well every half hour or so til it loses the clumps. Shake it a bit more whenever you think of it. It should become a nice thick creamy paste ready for use. If you try to mix it up right before use it will be clumpy and gritty and won't mix in well to the bath or spread nicely on your skin or hair. (not just this stuff, I mean that's the nature of clay in general) This was a pretty good price so I will llikely buy the same product here again next time. I haven't looked into the details enough to be sure I'd feel safe eating this.

Not what I had hoped it would be- I won't buy it again.
Let me start with what I use my clay for. I use clay to detox INTERNALLY and am comparing this to my normal brand of Desert Plains liquid form.) It was a mess. It stuck to virtually EVERYTHING, including the plastic spoon and my drain. I couldn't drink it. Perhaps my ratio was off, which could very well be the case, considering there are no instructions on the container. The other thing I noticed while rubbing the clay mixture onto my hands was the slippery and sticky texture. Now I'm comparing this to my Aztec Clay that I use regularly EXTERNALLY. I often use the clay to detox my face and armpits (with hopes to alleviate the years of Aluminum deodorant use). When I use my regular Aztec clay I experience a thick well, clay like texture that is smooth... Not sticky. With that said, this could simply be due to the fact that the ratio would be different compared to my normal products? I was hoping to find a cost effective substitute to combine both my clay products into one large cost effective method. This was not the right choice for me. Pros- The container WAS sealed when it arrived, which really pleased me, because some reviews had me a bit nervous. The color was a nice shade of gray which from my understanding is preferable. The cost was awesome for 2lbs Cons- No instructions Strange consistency Once opened the container does not seal shut, so you'll have to transfer it to a different one. 2 lbs didn't come as large as I assumed seeing the white container. I was thinking more of a 3 gal container. I'm rating it 3 stars instead of 2 because some of my complaints could be user error, but there is no way to know really.. My final conclusion is I'll stick with my Yerba Prima Great plains Bentonite liquid clay and Aztec for my external detox usage. I will probably continue to experiment with this clay and update if I find anything new or useful. (No sense in wasting my money by tossing it out.

good for scabs
I usually prefer a red mud for body masks. therefore i have been in the habit of using any of my more common clays whenever i cut myself. they all work or help. For minor cuts or booboos, i usually add some dry powder as it starts to stop bleeding. a little clay will help the blood clot and make the scab more durable and protective. but recently i spoke to a long time mentor of mine, and she said that bentonite was best for scabs. i chose wyoclay bentonite because it was (proprietary?) food grade (well that's what they say). better safe than sorry?. i figure the cleaner it is, the better chance there will be no problem with the booboo. i have never had a problem with any of my clays, yet i think this is the best choice i can make today. so i refilled all my small containers; in the kitchen, bathroom and travel bags. it really is an essential in all my first aid and travel kits. this bentonite seems kinda standard or better. a little off-white, very dry and fine. silky smooth - no clumps. i find pure bentonite a poor choice for body mud packs. its hard to get a thick layer, and the it cracks in a painful way. but i sometimes mix it in with other clays for interesting mud packs. the mud is also good for bug bites, itches, rashes and other skin problems i got two sizes, and gave the half pound size as a gift. the smaller size is more convenient with a screw top. i don't like the tub that this 2-pounder comes in. hard to open (pound with a mallet) and doesn't reseal as well either. no big deal. i already divided half of it and have a smaller better container. as good as it gets. low price. american Wyoming usa (well that's what they say). recommended.

Buy Now...you won't be disappointed
Use a shaker bottle (no metal ball with it) and it mixes well. I've used it as a detox drink, sweet baby Jesus this works well. everything in your intestines go...drink a fair amount of water throughout the day. I get a feeling of fatigue after ingesting but that's all. Used this as a face mask today. Tough to mix but just throw it on your face. As it hardens you will see the dry grey mask appear. Your face gets super tight and you can feel it working. Jumped in the shower and as I got out, no more black heads. Like they literally flew off my face! This stuff is amazing and wished I'd known about it during my troubling teenage years. 5 stars! Good to ingest and use outside of body. Next step is toothpaste. Let's do this! Great price for the amount you get. Super pumped!
